22nd Expeditionary Task Force - Recruiting!

Recommended Posts

INTRODUCTION

What is the 22ETF?

The 22ETF is an ACE/ACRE community that excels in the aspect of tactical experience but with none of headaches with other clan.

The clan was founded many months ago by veterans from some of the biggest clans in ArmA II community.

We are made up of players from different countries and of different ages that all come together for the the love of the game.

We play as a wide range of units in a wide range of different roles.

What are things the 22ETF does?

We hold several event each week with each event pertaining to different things.

We have our main events which are mostly large missions with several objectives for us to complete. Sometimes adding in side objectives and other surprises.

We then have a mission tailored for a smaller amount of players, these missions are more tactical and less "kill everything."

We always have a wildcard event that includes various different things. It could be a spec ops mission, or a defensive mission.

We always have various training sessions throughout the week to make sure we don't lose any of our skills or to learn new things.

What does your missions consist of?

Our missions are what we pride ourselves in here in the 22ETF. All of our missions are made by players in the clan.

We put of a lot of trust that these missions will challenge us but still be fun. These missions include everything from Infiltration, Invasions, and Search and destroy missions.

Being mainly a COOP clan we pride ourselves on the quality of the missions but also the story telling them behind them.

We like to create a very deep background to each of our missions. Something that creates immersion and reality.

How do I know if I am right?

Well for starters. We have a mix of European and US players. Our clan time is GMT so any US people will have the events in the afternoon.

Also you must be mature and respectful. We really like players who perform well and are regular but what is more important in people to be mature

If you like playing in a semi-laid back clan then you are right. We expect you to pay attention and follow orders but we don't go full Mil-Sim and require you to call people by their ranks.

Also be regular. Be active. Talk to people. We have our own TS server and our own Dedicated server. We like people to come hang out and have a good time. We like to call people by their first names.

What is in store for the future of the 22ETF?

We have been a small group of good friend for too long. We believe it is time to branch out now. We want to do bigger and better things now.

More intense missions that require certain abilities to be used. We want to have people excel and specialize in certain things.

Bigger campaigns and PVP. For months we have stayed to ourselves but now we feel it is time to branch out and try different things. And that is why we need you!

We our looking for long term players here to maybe take some big responsibilities. We are looking for people to start a new direction with us.

Thinking about it?

The 22nd Expeditionary Task Force is still Recruiting, with a a few new announcements

Roster

We have a roster set up, it contains:

1st Platoon

1st Squad - Rifle Squad - 10x Members

2nd Squad - Weapons Squad - 11x Members

Reserves - 5x People

1st Squad is our Rifle Squad that does usually goes first, they are our Assault / Attacking group.

2nd Squad is our Weapons Squad which carriers the weaponry and equipment to support the Platoon as well as 1st Squad.

The Reserves are for the quite in-active members

Training System

Our Training has 3 Phases

Phase 1 - We will check as well as enhance your knowledge on ACE, our Unit Set Up, Navigation Skills, A.C.R.E Skills, Medical System.

Phase 2 - Phase 2 is our Qualification course, where we will check your skills, as well as teach you some tips on how can you improve at each part, we have Rifle Qualification, Marksmanship Qualification, Quick Reaction Exercise Qualification, and a few more.

Phase 3 - On Phase 3 we teach people teamwork skills, by doing team-based exercises, some being - Bounding, Close Quarter Combat, M.O.U.N.T Course, and more.

After all 3 Phases, the member is officially accepted into our unit, and will get assigned to his Squad, and get his Private rank a few events after.

Once we see the Private is active, our "Advanced Training Session" program is open, which allows him to enhance his skill very much in a specific role, some of our ATS's:

Flyboy ATS - Flyboy Training is our Flight School, where we teach almost everything there is about Choppers & Planes, and i mean almost everything, the training does take alot of time - Our Flyboy ATS Is very advanced, and every single detail is covered as advanced as possible, so our Pilots would be as good as they can be, so our Infantry troops wouldn't have to worry about them crashing, or un-experienced people flying the aircraft.

RTO ATS - Radio Operator Training our where we train people the proper usage of the Radio System - AN/PRC 117F - On how to set it up, and properly communicate through it - Our RTO's are used for communicating to our Support "CAS, Ground Vehicles e.t.c" It's really important for us to have good Radio Operators, as it can sometimes mean life & death for us, again we go in detail with the Radio System and we make sure the member that's doing it knows everything about it.

These are just 2 out of 10, but the number might change, we only have ATS's of which we actually need, we don't train people in something they won't ever use, more ATS's will increase as we grow.

In addition to that, we have Squad Training, where the Squad trains in various scenarios for the Squad to improve on, we also have Platoon Training, where the entire Platoon Trains to train movement as Platoon, and again also various scenarios for the Platoon.

Our sessions vary from 15 to 20 people per session, though that's increasing strongly as our activity is going up.

Our Teamspeak 3 & Dedicated Server have 25 Slots right now, but we're hoping to increase the number soon.

New Updates!

Public Server

We had a dedicated server since the start but we never used it for anything other then events, so a few days ago we enhanced the server for public usage.

It's Usually running Insurgency, we request all public people to be as mature and tactical as they can be as we try to provide the most realistic experience on the server.

The server is running with ACE & ACRE, other mods aren't needed, our Server & Teamspeak is right now 25 slots big, but we're planning on expanding that number pretty soon.

We also have had ideas of running Public Operations where we do our operations and it would be open to the public, but that's still to be seen.

Recruitment Status

Our Recruitment is going steady and we're still open to new recruits, we currently have 16-20 people per session, and we received about 16 recruits in the last few days, so we're still open to recruitment.

Events

Our Event types are as follows:

Squad Training - Squad Training is when a Squad trains "Usually during the weekdays" in different types of scenarios.

Platoon Training - Platoon Trainings are for the entire Platoon to train in different types of scenarios.

Field Training Exercises - On FTX's as we call them, are missions which are meant for a training purpose, usually to learn different types of scenarios and situations that could be helpful in the future, but they are live missions none the less.

Pre-Deployement Training - Pre-Deployement Training's are trainings that usually train on stuff that will be inside our operations.

Operations - Operations are our main campaigns, which is what all the training and preparations go to, our operations go really into detail we have a system on how we aproach and do them, and they are definetly something you don't want to miss.

3rd Update!

Upcoming Deployment

We are starting our preparations for our first Deployment "Campaign / Operation"

We have had our first Pre-Deployment training on 17.May.Saturday on which we familiarized our troops with our Base "Camp Moose" that we'll be stationed during our Deployment.

We won't be having unlimited Weapons, Supplies, Vehicles, everything will have it's limits, so we have been training hard to maintain our vehicles, since each and every loss of a vehicle is going to be a big hit during the deployment, since it carries our Gear and Supplies, and we have limits of it, added to the vehicles, we'll also have a certain limit of pretty much everything, Medical Supplies, Ammo, Weapons, Gear and Equipment overall, so everyone will have to take care of their equipment, and retrieve their fallen comrades gears too.

We will be playing as the U.S Army Faction during the deployment.

Forces

Our Forces during the deployment are going to be as follows:

1st Platoon

1st Squad

2nd Squad

Recon Attachment

387th Air Expeditionary Group

Since the US Army branch does not have a Airforce, a Attachment of the 387th Air Expeditionary Group will be attached with us, which is where our pilots will be operating.

Since every items and vehicle are so precious, our Recon Attachment is going to be one of our most valuable supports since they will be our Eyes and Ears and their Information will be really important for the Ground & Air.

The Deployment is planned to start somewhere around July, so if you want to participate in this campaign and many more events, sign up today!

Pre-Deployment Training

We have started our Pre-Deployment trainings, so far we're focusing on improving our tactics and coordination as an entire platoon, we also did APC Crew Training to train some crewman for our APC's which we will be using during the deployment.

We're considering training more Pilots since we'll need good and skilled pilots for the Deployment, but even a beginner can sign up for our "Flyboy" School if he wishes to participate as Air.

The planned date for the Deployment is a roughly somewhere in June-July.

So far we have trained on almost everything we need, so now we're more focusing on improving what we know so far.

Recruitment Update

Our recruitment so far is still going steady and great, the recruitment process is begging to be quite a bit faster with Recruiters always being on TS, and the Instructors doing a great job on the trainings, we're still looking for recruits.

The recruitment is going to be put on hold when the deployment starts and new applicants will still be able to do their interview, but if they have not passed their Phase 1, Phase 2, Phase 3 Trainings they will be unable to join the deployment, but it's still a few months away.

Recruitment - More Slots Open!

Recruitment so far has been good to us and we've gotten quite alot of members, with this we have more openings, we don't have static roles, but if you're interested in a role, go ahead sign up, complete your training, and feel free to be the role you want.

Flyboys - We're looking for good pilots, especially for our Deployment and for the long run, we have a good training system set up with a great Head Instructor, even if you don't know anything about piloting but aspire to be a pilot, feel free to try out our Flyboy training.

Recon - We don't have too many openings left, but we're going to have Recon teams, who will be our eyes and ears in our missions and deployments, when we will use them they are going to be very vital, anyone interested in giving support from a distance are welcome, we also have Recon Training for fresh people wanting to try out recon.

Leaders - We're always looking for good and dedicated leaders who wish to lead FireTeams, Squads, or more, most members can apply for leadership currently since we're looking for good leaders, but we require people who wish to apply for such position to be dedicated and active, and again, we have training for that as well as long as you're interested.

Jobs / Professions

We've implemented Jobs / Professions quite recently - If someone wants to be more dedicated to the unit, or just help out, they can freely choose a Job / Profession like a Assistant Drill Instructor, Recruiter, and more to help out, there are roles that don't require you to apply like Video Editors, Mission Makers, and more, if someone has the will and want to help us out, we never turn it down.

Youtube

We're soon going to start recording and uploading footage of our unit, to help decide some people if we are actually what we're looking for, our Video Editing Office is also soon going to start working on some official videos like a Unit Trailer, Recruitment video, and more, but that's still to come on the next update!

Do you have what it takes to join up in the Infantry of the 22nd Expeditionary Task Force? Our Infantry is well known for their discipline, sense of humor, and training, our Infantry Soldiers are well trained by our training program, from which they gained experience and discipline, but they always have a good sense of humor too!

http://i.imgur.com/WxvKZFU.jpg (1213 kB)

"Keep an eye out for the enemy" Is one of the most important things recon does, relaying information to the Infantry and Air to make sure everything goes according to plan, and to provide situational awareness to HQ and the rest, it might not be action packed, but the role is critical, recon troops must be able to Spot the enemy, track the enemy, report the enemy, and if deemed necessary take out the enemy, Recon troops are trained in Stealth Courses, as well as marksmanship courses.

Event Activity

We're still active, during the month of August, over 10 people went on vacations, and for some school started already, so we've haven't been having the biggest turnouts, usually we have 25 people events, while currently we're having 14-16 people events, we're hoping for the numbers to become stable again a few weeks after everyone starts school.
