DieselJC 196 Posted April 1, 2014 I have a friend who has Arma 2 and wants Arma 3,problem is she is limited on bandwidth to download each month..I told her I would ask if I could sign into steam as her on my Computer and download Arma 3 onto a flash drive and mail that to her then she could install and activate in steam on her PC...I assume this is possible but wanted some opinions. Also want sure if this should be here or in the Steam troubleshooting area..if not the correct place could a Moderator please move it the appropriate forumn. toxicsludge 12 Posted April 2, 2014 I dont think you even need to sign in under her account. Just use the backup feature in Steam, then give her the backup file and she can use the restore feature. As long as she owns the game, it should be fine. *pretty sure this is how it works, dont shoot me if I'm wrong

Back in the day when we had data caps, our ISP placed steam backups of certain popular games on their servers where we could download them without it counting towards the cap.
