Hi ChrisB76 welcome to Bis forums and the arma community, and to Arma3 ;)

If its not on the list on the OP then its not AI.

Wanted to let folks know that if you see any new threads popup related to AI let me know here or through pm, I only add threads that have 2 or more posts to it,

and I usually review them to see if their worth it because sometimes threads will as questions about something with the AI and no specific answer that solves

or answers the OP's question, sometimes those do get decent answers and I will add them but the point being I dont want to waist member's time by

them reviewing a thread and it has no information that they can use as in solving a problem, or learning

how to do something through editing, I've done that for every thread listed.

Also every week I collect threads and bookmark them, and by the weekend I review them and if their worth adding I will add them, this way the list is always updated

with everything AI, this would include any new addons or mods too, and lastly again if there is anything not on the list that anyone has found post your reply,

or send me a pm and I will add it accordingly.

Any suggestions for the list also let me know.

Hi Günter

Might want to add kju's "DisabledFriendlyFire_Server_F_PvPscene". IIRC it's on Armaholic.

Made originally for A2, it works perfectly in A3 at least for SP; I would expect it to work fine in MP also (must be run on the server only, not the client). Disables all friendly fire for both AI and players, and a unit (or player) hit by the dreadful AI drivers gets knocked down but is uninjured.

Hi buddy

The latest version of Vcom_ai has a small script that has a dramatic effect on AI driving - it is really worth checking out. A game changer IMO. You might want to add a line to the Vcom_ai entry on the new feature.

Hopefully the author will [also] release that separately.

Baker1976 this thread is an AI Compilation list not an addon/mods request thread, theres no mod i know of for supply boxes, your best bet is to look through

the scripts on armaholic as thats where they will be:

More to come when i get around to it eg., motivation/inspiration, ideas, energy and of course time.

Even though the 2nd page listing was created it will be a temporary post until

I update the 1st page listing where I change every link to use a tiny url which would allow me to add more to the first page.

1st page currently is maxed out at about 5000 characters and i have reached that already, with tiny url I would basically take a link get it recoded

so its reduced in size (characters number of letters/numbers in a link).

That will be a project in itself to do that, i prefer to have everything on one page and one place, I hate chasing stuff, having to go all over creation to find what i need,

hence why i created the Compilation list in the 1st place.

1 thread, 1 page, all the AI info/mods in one place.

Now that i got my compiling fix :D will work on my mod which is my other compiling fix ;)

I figure I'd ask here, as my question particular is based upon AI mods. From what I understand, ASR AI and VCom AI (there's an addon variation of this now, so it's not just a script) both try to change the attitudes and actions of the AI, but particularly they try to do the same things like going for cover, garrisoning buildings, the works. What I wanted to know was which of the two is simply the better mod regarding making the AI more improved? I've done a few tests and in my tinkering about, I'm having a hard time seeing major differences between the two. I believe VCom AI also allows the AI to automatically man and use stationary weaponry, but I believe it's a lot like Group Link in that a lot of its changes work well for large multiplayer skirmishes and not single player content like Bohemia's own works that rely much more on basic follow-the-waypoints for the AI.

Perhaps someone who's dabbled much more than I did can help me get a better understanding.

thats for you to decide, your game, your experience, what do you want to see, what do you want to experience, and which mod to you feels like the mod that does it for you,

this you need to find out through testing.

If they do similar things then in your opinion you need to observe how the similar features function, if one is more preferable and or seems more efficient

or simply better to you then thats the one for you.

As for discussion, this thread is not meant for it, its meant to keep the community updated if i can catch them all and put them all on the first page,

Moved 2nd page listing post to the 1st post

added new subjects:

Relocated threads to their proper subjects, like respawn threads under the respawn section

Shortened about 95% of the urls (links) for most of the threads section which allowed me to add more to the 1st post,

still need to finish shortening the threads links to the mission scripting and editing section.

Need to add a few new threads.
