I'm looking for a script or a means of forcing OPFOR to attack empty NATO vehicles. Doesn't make sense that they won't attack a vehicle unless it's occupied.

Cant help you, if its not on the lists Pg1, or the 2nd pg listing then I either missed it or its nonexistent.

 

As for the campaign issue Morphesus, idk what to tell you, either locate a thread in the missions section talking about the campaign, or create a new thread, my code there works,

I never played the campaign myself and dont have any files on my end saved to give me any information, so i really cant help you there, sorry.

Update

Its been 2 months since this the list has been updated, in that time i had collected the following threads and scripts.

    All the listings here have been added to the 2nd page listings as i cannot add anymore to the 1st page because of character limitations.

In another month I will update the thread again, if anyone has any scripts, mods, threads that are not already on either

1st or 2nd pages then send me a pm and i will add them to my collections.

Hello!. I have a question: Any such script, to be able to construct (from the menu of construction and without using Zeus) all the vehicles and buildings of a faction (with the expansions) in Liberation mode?

Do I have to add vehicle and structure names to a file called classnames.sqf?.

Something I read but, I do not understand. A help would be appreciated.

Update - Thread Overhaul

Attention -  I'm going to be working on overhauling the list with some new ideas and my idea/plan is the following:

  • Combine 2nd page listing with the 1st page which atm is not technically possible because the 1st page has reached the 100,000 character limit, so i have another idea.
  • 1st page will act like a menu with each subject of a list being a link in themselves, so for example, addons & Mods, Scripts, and then the subjects of each section for threads

Addons & Mod, and Scripts Listings

  • Will have its own page (post within the thread) and will be linked to the first page
  • Will be Alphabetical as they are now no changes there
  • Will be separated based on subject they pertain too, for example - caching, combat, command, driving, formations, medical, movement, spawn, skill - possibly more idk i might just keep it general to those
  • Each subject from the above will have its own spoiler, this way the list remains condensed and eliminates the need to scroll a whole page to read something
  • more ideas when i get them will be applied and or suggested, but the above is going to be the new base

Forum threads

  • Will have its own page, i might have certain subjects together on their own pages, idk atm
  • Each subject that threads are under will be bigger because of 1st and 2nd page listings will be together
  • Like currently each subject for forum threads will have spoilers so that if a certain subject interests you then you can reveal the content for that subject without having to scroll the page

     Overall the idea here is to make the list more specific, and efficient because idk about you guys but i hate searching for shit.

Especially when it comes to finding an answer to a problem, a solution to a code, or a code, considering its already bad as it is that you have to locate a subject,

then a thread your interested in, then review the thread if it can help any.

 

If i knew a better way, more efficient, faster, and simpler way to locate information to either a script, addon/mod or even thread that has info then what im doing here will

be a good start, I'm basically trying to narrow down your search.

Lastly I will be using existing posts within the thread itself that i had previously created,, considering its the weekdays and i work nights,

i have a few hrs a day to work on this, so dont expect to see this completed in a day, theres alot of fine tuning with this material, at most you should see most updates,

and or changes during the weekend, but this week i will be starting this.

If there are any suggestions or ideas anyone can add, that may help in what im trying to do here, then feel free to post your reply.

New Scripts page will be the 2nd page first post, im just clearing out the existing post and transferring the listings.

Just remember everything will be reorganized and become more specific.

Update - Overhaul report - (Addons & mods)

Ok guys small update:

  • All addons and mods from 1st page are now on last post of the 1st page (bottom of thread)
  • Addons and mods name at top of first page have been linked to bottom, and listings removed
  • Addons and mods have been sorted based on subject (subjects still need tweaking)
  • Addons and mods have been formatted with font color, size, bold, underline ect,. as when i copy n paste them the format is cleared initially so i had to redo them all :face_palm: ya more work :h:
  • Still need to copy, sort, and format the 2nd page listings for the addons and mods

All for today, pretty good so far for 3hrs work ;) more to come!

Alright guys another update for you:

  • Addons & Mods from the 2nd page listing have been moved and sorted to the new page
  • Listings are formatted with color, size ect,.
  • Addons & Mods section is now Complete

Next in the overhaul is the following: Scripts

  • Scripts section from 1st post of thread will be located to the 1st post of the 2nd page of the thread
  • Script listings will be formatted as you see them currently
  • Script listings will be sorted based on subject like the addons and mods, I will probably use the same subjects but the scripts themselves will determine if i use the same or even add more.
  • Once scripts from 1st page is moved, formatted, and sorted based on subject, I will move the scripts from the 2nd page listing to the new page and sort, and format them.
  • Scripts will have a link on the 1st page, 1st post basically linking the word scripts to the 2nd page 1st post of the thread where they will be located once they are complete.

Lastly I'm rethinking moving the threads, i may leave the threads, and just move the 2nd page listing threads to the 1st page, that will be the new plan.

Update - Overhaul report - (Complete)

Alright guys heres the last update, i spent 5hrs straight on this last update, weekend for me was best time to do this, but now its done, further updates,

and improvements may and will come in the future as per suggestion or better ideas.

For now regular 1-2 time a month updates will continue, for below here was what was done and completed with the last update for the Overhaul.

 

AI threads

  • All subjects, and listings were moved to the 1st page OP, from 2nd page listing
  • Sorted based on category, and subject, formatted
  • added some new subjects within categories to better sort and make specific
  • Couple thread sections were removed, and listings were relocated
  • Many existing threads relocated to better fitting categories

2nd page Listings page has been removed, and unlinked from 1st page OP.

Overhaul is complete!

 

Note to BIS community 

For those whom know about the thread here, when and if you see new threads popping up about Ai with questions, or problems that may have already been asked,

please either use my reference and post a thread, or listing from it that will better help a member with their question or link my thread.

I had spent alot of time on this, and it would be a huge waste of my time if people did not use the thread - like in the old days when Search before you post was a rule of the forums,

im going to say the same here, follow suite its there to help you, and was done for you.

Is there a script to make AI air support in Arma 3 have more options than just bombs? Don't want attack helicopters, I need to be able to call in AI strafing runs but there's only options to drop bombs.

As far as i know, no there is not, unless some new scripts, or threads with code for scripts have popped up in the last month i did not see, but the only other thing i've heard about

and not tried was a module you can place in the editor to simulate strafing runs with an A-10 but again im not sure on it.

 

I would suggest asking in the mission, editing, and scripting section and see if someone knows, or has something that you can use,

sorry i couldn't be of more help.

The list here is mainly a reference, if what is you are looking for is not listed there, thats is not to say it dont exist, but for what your asking yes it can be done but imo

aside already premade scripts and threads in the list, again i would ask.

Right now, you have this Gun run code modifying BI module.

And feel free to have a look at my other scripts. They have been rewritten most of them for better functionalities.

I searched this thread and cannot find what I am looking for, so can someone advise an AI mod similar to Group Link 5 where I can recruit in game NPC AI into my squad, command them, and release them back, but without the intelligence portion so I can use the default AI in SP missions without changing the mission behavior too much.

 

I do NOT want to spawn additional AI. I just want to recruit the existing AI NPC, blufor or civies, into my group and command them. This is both a game and role playing feature I want to use for immersion sake.

 

I actually wish GL5 would be updated as the AI part still works, but the FX section needs updating.

 

I do use C2, and ACE3 so something compatible or even an addon function to either of those mods would probably be better since I can then also use other AI mods such as ASR AI.

Valken, as far as i know there isn't one, it would have to be scripted, or implemented through the editor, imo your best bet for now is to review these threads:

Thanks for those suggestions Gunter. I will see what I can do with it.

 

Edit - I wanted to update I think ACE3 has my request built in now! I was playing a SP/COOP mission in SP. My AI squad died except me and I manage to get to the last objective to rescue the AI guy. 

 

Problem was that I clicked rescue and nothing happened. I then used ACE3 Interaction on the AI, joined his team, then promoted myself to leader. Then he did exactly what I told him to do.

 

I will test this again on other SP / COOP missions with AI and ACE3 only as I did have GL5 loaded at the same time. 

 

Just wanted to share this for others looking for this feature to test as well.
