I am running x4 of these AI mods together - however I am not clear after playing a few missions how well they are working together?(or even if they can be run together)

- (the mods are ASR + Bcombat + FFIS + AGM) - any advice on if I can combine them and which ones are likely to work together ?

Hi, A method is to test each mod individually with an organized test that you can easily get feedback on in terms of results and then combine one

at a time and see if you see any oddities, or any bugs or issues basically one mod not working or some features working or the AI doing weird

stuff when they normally wouldn't when not combined.

What I would do, from that you would know for yourself what works and what doesn't,

Also review the features that each mod lists on their download page, readmes, wikis if any etc,.

Offhand through my own testing for my WarMod for Arma3 your best bet is to run ASRAI, BCombat, and AGM, with FFIS I had issues with.

Also with AGM theres only one file in AGM that pertains to AI, the file for that is:

AGM_AI.pbo

Adjusted AI skill values

The idea here is to reduce the AI's godlike aiming capabilties while retaining it's high intelligence. The AI should be smart enough to move through a town,

but also be 'human' in their reaction time and aim.

Note: All these values can still be adjusted via scripts, these arrays just change what 0 & 1 are for setSkill.

Firing in burst mode

AIs will now use the automatic mode of their weapons on short distances, instead of always relying on firing single shots in quick succession.

Longer engagement ranges

The maximum engagement ranges are increased: AI will fire in bursts with variable length on high ranges of 500 - 700 meters, depending on their weapon and optic.

No deadzones in CQB

Some weapons had minimum engagement ranges. If you were as close as 2 meters to an AAF soldier, he wouldn't open fire, because the AI couldn't find any valid

fire mode for their weapon. AGM removes this behaviour mostly notable in CQB by adding a valid firing mode.

No scripting

All changes of AGM AI are config based to ensure full compatibility with advanced AI modifications like ASR AI.

So AGM AI will work with ASRAI.

Most major updates are done on the weekends which are a better time for me to work on the thread, some weekends I wont add anything

Most listing as you guys notice in the updates are mission editing and scripting threads, so I end up putting those thread

link listings in that one section, which I feel is still disorganized because you still have alot of threads you have to search through.

Im looking for a way to categorize these threads in such a way as to minimize the search for you guys so if theres a faster method for find information

please let me know as im constantly looking for ways to make the list more efficient.

Gunship AI

I noticed that sometimes, and not in vanilla aircraft (tried without any mods whatsoever, couldn't replicate effect), the pilots behave like in the vid above. They hover while engaging, not rushing to inevitable doom, and sometimes even break engagement (but more rarely, not demonstrated.. sorry about not using camera function it's bogged down in my runs) It's quite a mystery as to what enables this? Perhaps a mod feature that I'm unaware of. Anyway it's pretty cool, makes CAS more believable. I just wish it worked all the time.

So I'm just curious as to which AI mod is the most popular between ASR and Bcombat? Im torn between them honestly and I mostly play official missions and custom missions.

Official missions and custom missions.. Then you would perhaps be better off with ASR. That way missions may be less likely to break. That said, any mission can break when adding AI mod/addons to it unless it was made with that mod in mind, so nothing is guaranteed.

I don't use ASR, never have really other than comparisons to other AI mods. But I don't hear many players saying official missions get broken using it, so logic makes me feel ASR could be the better option for those playing that type of mission.

I see, I've notices you are. KAI team member. Is that ever going to be released to the public? :confused: I've heard a lot about it but it seems to be very hush hush.

I tried Bcombat in the official campaign and it had quirks but it seemed to work alright

Hi , I was experimenting in the editor with the GR4 Tornado which is equipped with a nuke, any ideas on how I instruct it to drop a nuke as part of 'air support' rather than laser guided and unguided bombs? thanks :)

So now that we have a new forum setup here, how can the code on the 1st page, and my 2nd page listing going to be fixed so that its not in code but normal text and links and in code so that listings can be scrolled. Is this going to be fixed by an update, or do I have to add 3 more hours to my fifty hours I put into it already fixing my own thread?

Thanks for your work BohemiaBeck, other then the missing quotes and the code I use to put all the threads in to have a scrolling list which is no big deal to readd, it looks alright,

just needs an update in terms of color, and font size and quotes, and code and it should work.
