Info

This mod includes various types of the Boeing C-17. This mod was created by mukcep. There for all credits go to mukcep.

  • Cargo ramp and boarding door opens
  • Lights and collision lights work
  • Boosters for combat take off (User key 18)
  • Brakes after landing (User key 19)
  • 54 players can fit in the back

Known Issues

  • Does not have navigator or Co-pilot seat (caused a lot of issues)
  • Enemies shoot at the plane but AA unit AIs do not lock on to the plane
  • Plane interior looks very bad
  • Dropping cargo is a little glitchy, but it still fully works

Will there be any updates to textures for the interior? As of now they look great for originally being for A2, but I think that some work would go far! Nice work in any case, it is an amazing piece of equipment to have in A3!

I am currently trying to fix the shiny textures. I also agree that the texture is a little outdated for A3 so I may retexture in the future.

Good to hear! Any chance of you also maybe contacting fullerpj about his USAF Asset Addon, and maybe working on some co projects? Sorry if I have a lot of questions, it's just some exciting logistics situations from these type of addons!

I do not think that I will be very helpful because he has way more knowledge on modding than me.

Hi there Randomslap,

First of all, cool that you made a portover of the C-17. Thank you for that.

Now, i've tested the mod and i found the following bugs/glitches.......

1) Except for the cargodoor at the back, it is possible to walk through the airplane as if you were a ghost. No matter what angle i take...even when i'm inside the airplane i can just walk trough the walls.

2) When i'm flying and i land the airplane and then shut down the engine, the sounds keeps on going...it doesn't stop.

I've tested it in the editor not on multiplayer but i can imagine that these bugs will also appear in the MP.

Other then that, i haven't realy come across major bugs/issues.

C-17 Globemaster lll - ArmA 2 Mod (Alpha Stage, needs lots of work) - samrmur

I will begin by saying this. I DID NOT MAKE THIS MOD. ALL CREDITS GO TO THE ORIGINAL CREATOR DESKTOP

Desktop had let go of the project and put it up for grabs (Proof here http://forums.bistudio.com/showthrea...t-up-for-grabs). Ever since then, it has gone from person to person but was never completed. I was able to get the mod through a friend who told me that no one is willing to complete at this point so it will most likely stay the way it is now. If I had known how to make mods, I would have done it myself, but I don't know a thing about coding to begin with, so I'm asking the entire ArmA Modding Community to help finish it and hopefully release it to the public in a Beta or even a complete form and to continue working on it from there.

This mod was originally made for ArmA 2 by Desktop. Therefore all credits go to Desktop. A few months ago I was able to get the files for Desktop's C-17 project. Once I was able to get hands on the mod, I decided to port it over to ArmA 3.

Nice to see this make it out. Although the handling does look a bit off as in it banks way too sharply for a cargo aircraft. Is there anyway to tone it down a bit so it actually feels more like a C-17?

Yes I know him from a old milsim unit I used to be in. I gave some files to fix the A2 version.

haha I did a 360 in the air with this. Also nobody on Opfor seems to bother targetting it? Nice addition but needs some fixing.
