jbryan 3 Posted March 17, 2014 Hello, hopefully someone can help me out with this. I mess around with 3D modeling and such, no noob at that. However, I had this idea of making a map that revolves around the Fort Benning area, the map if I could successfully do it, would feature the full out military base, along with various areas for a variety of training (Mainly focused around the milsim units). I have a few satellite images of the area, though not really sure where to start as far as importing them into whatever specific type of program for it to generate the terrain or however it works. Most of the "tutorials" on such a topic, aren't really tutorials for me. More along the lines of a headache, as it seems like they were made by someone whose english isn't native. When I read the "tutorials" I have to read them several different times and still not really understand what it is trying to say. Any help or guidance would be appreciated. I'm not looking for a step by step tutorial here, more along the lines of... How to import an image or whatever to a terrain generator program and how to work it into visitor 3. The rest as far as importing and what not, I'll figure it out with the configurations.
SavageCDN 231 Posted March 17, 2014 I know nothing on the topic but there is a Skype channel for map and mod makers which is probably your best bet: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?131825-Skype-groups-amp-other-contact-groups Also there is an A2 version of Fort Benning if you haven't seen it already: http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=15038
