353.Infanterie-Division (I44, EU/US, ACRE)

Recommended Posts

Unit History:

The 353. Infanterie-Division was formed in Britanny(France) November 1943, it was made up of largely new recruits and experienced soldiers from the disbanded 328. Infanterie-Division. The Division was stationed in Maringy when the allies invaded France, and it remained there till the beginning of Operation Cobra.

In August 1944 they participated in several holding-actions, as to halt the advances of the allied Operation Cobra. However by the time of the breakout from the Falaise-Pocket the division had lost half its strength.

It was therefore pulled back and remade into a Volksgrenadier-Division, participating in the defense of the Siegfried Line, the Roer River Dams and eventually Cologne whereafter it finally surrendered in the Ruhr-Pocket.

What we are looking for:

- Mature, active, and reliable members.

- Applicants interested in and knowledgeable about World War 2 history, willing to play utilizing realistic tactics and historical squad layouts.

We offer:

- A fun and friendly community of players, without any shouting/screaming Drill Sergeants.

- Knowledge of German WW2 warfare.

- Accurate portrayal of both the Panzerjäger (Tankers) and Grenadiere.

- Open recruitment opportunities for both the Grenadiere and the Panzerjäger.

- A continous developing internal campaign, with longterm goals, effects and the likes.

- A unit lead by people with experience from various WW2 realism communities.

- An always open Teamspeak ( Adress: lon01.mainvoice.net:7059 ).

How to join:

Submit an application following the standards posted in the Rekrutierungsbüro on our forum, and we will respond with further information as soon as possible.(Link found below)

A small update on our situation:

We're currently in the middle of setting up our new dedicated 40-slot ARMA2:OA(I44) server, which will be placed in Europe somewhere.

In the same line of news, our Teamspeak also upgraded to 40-slots, as to accommodate everyone for future matches where ACRE is used.

After our practice times became good and stable, we also began releasing 'papers' that detail our units activity. They are made by Lorenz Georg, and will be released on a near-weekly basis*.

The Papers:

First Issue

Second Issue

Current Campaign map as of (06-04-2014) can be found here in the last post here.

*Sometimes we will prioritize other stuff, such as this week where the server demands our work-time.

Yet another issue of our paper has been out for a while! The sixth one is in the works.

Fifth Issue

Our StuG III G's Crew is close to being filled out! As one position still needs filling within it.

As for the Grenadiere, we are still in the need of an MG-Team for our 2.Gruppe and more regular riflemen for the same Gruppe naturally.

Been awhile since we last posted, however the unit is still very much running!

We're about to move onto our new campaign, which will take place on Meredet River, with us against British forces.

The campaign will use some new mods such as Zeus AI, as well as incoporate some new types of objectives and defensive positions.
