rebel12340 46 Posted March 6, 2014 (edited) About Us We play the game realistically, using formations, small unit tactics, game mods, and more to augment play. We love realism, and we do our scheduled weekend ops "in character" and in an ongoing campaign if we get it rolling again. However, we aren't true milsim - that is, out of game, and on fun ops we're far less serious. Check out our mashup video Welcome to Echo Company and you'll learn that really quickly :D This is a game, and we're here to have fun! Outside of the campaign(s), we primarily do co-op matches, MOUT exercises, and occasional Pub games or TvTs. We typically play in the standard ArmA 3 2030's setting, with A3 vehicles and weapons. Unit History Echo Company was formerly an ArmA 2 small infantry unit that ran for a couple of years, at its core a close knit group of friends from a previous clan. We've left ArmA 2 in the last year and experimented with starting the unit again as an ArmA 3 unit, as well as having joined and worked with several other units. However, we've decided to venture out on our own and recreate our squad, as we loved our unique play style and small unit bond. We play primarily as a regular US Army infantry/Ranger unit. What We Do We are currently midway through a detailed, story driven campaign. Our goal in recruiting is to find quality personnel to fill that squad out, and we intend to go no larger than a two to three squad platoon, maximum, probably not even that. We take pride in working well together, and that doesn't happen in large units with mass personnel issues! How We Do It We are always looking for new recruits. We don't believe in extensive training, line drilling, etc. It is a game, however seriously we play it. On the other hand, we do play in a realistic fashion on the field, and we expect others to do so as well when joining us. In-mission, behave with decorum. Listen to your leaders. Keep criticisms to yourself until after. Stay with your team. We use basic formations, radio etiquette, and realistic loadouts for the tasks at hand. We do training when we need it for a specific topic (i.e. "Guys, we really need to work on building clearing"), and the rest of the time, we do missions and MOUT exercises to practice skills, instead of drilling. Out of game, we have no hooah-yessir-nossir mentality. Ranks, positions, and skill don't matter much when just hanging out, and we like it that way. Recruiting We are specifically looking for IFV (Infantry Fighting Vehicle) crew members (A driver and a gunner). They need to be OK with running infantry ops with us sometimes, but ready to, along with their commander, provide both transport and IFV support to ground infantry and interact with them to complete objectives. We have not yet implemented the IFV element, however, so this would require some discussion with candidates. We’re always on the lookout for shooters. We’re in the market for any skilled personnel we come across to fill our second squad! Minimum Requirements - Age of 18 or higher please. - Teamspeak 3, working microphone, legal copy of ArmA 3 - Ability to typically make 9pm EST Friday events and similar times for other nights. - Come talk to us! Asherion 1 Posted April 10, 2014 We're now over a month into our deployment in the Altisian Republic for Operation Iron Fist. Operations 1-3 (and soon 4) are on YouTube - .We are now at about a squad's strength of members and are getting ready to push into a second. That means more slots of all kinds open! We're still functioning as a regular Army squad until we pick up and carefully train a mechanized crew, so let us know if you're interested in that. callsignphoenix.com

Asherion 1 Posted May 18, 2014 Hey guys! After a couple of weeks of stopped recruiting, we're back open again. We're building up membership in anticipation of opening a second active squad in June - right now we have a full squad and some unassigned members, and by June we intend to be opening the second squad. Also, we're at mission 12 coming up in the Altis campaign, so stay tuned on YouTube or the website for those, mission 8 video is up now, so they're just a couple behind. The timeline on the site is current, for anyone interested in the story behind it :) See you guys in the field!
