[MP] WASP Warfare CTI

What's the name of your community? :)

We do not have a name, a forum or anything fancy, as we are only a few people (2-4) who play CTI at the weekends on our own server.

We are really looking forward to this version of CTI, as long as AI's are fully supported :)

Tried to add tfr items in the new version ,just found out that nothing in the _Item array can be bought due to an error in GUI_WFGear.sqf even if Data_Gear.sqf is unmodified.So basically the same issue i had before Data Gear was opened up.

Need details about that error. At least its text and some information or example of your trying to include some configs in those DATA files of mission.

Since i questioned my sanity i simply reverted all changes before making the post.It is a bug that is preventing you from buying anything in _Items.

I want to implement Task Force Radio and CBA i guess since its a dependency for TFR.

But like i have already stated even in the unmodified version(freshly downloaded and straight into the game) i am not able to buy anything that is in the _Item array (for example Binoculars) which starts on line 306 in Data\Data_Gear.sqf

It always throws these type

Thx for provided info. Most errors are about wrong types during comparing. Will be fixed in 0.210.

Hey. Is there a way to save?

I don't like to play multiplayer, but I like to play CTI mission with Ai's. So I would like to save and quit the game, and then later or another day, continue. But it didn't seemed like I could?

Missions were created for multiplayer and you can't save the current state of game. If you have a dedicated server you may set up persistant option in its config. So if you have decided to leave the server your mission will not be interrupted. But your server should continue to run too...

Definitely longer time with many changes! Can't wait to try those new features, especially the HC ability :p

1) 8 Team/Squad Leaders

2) 6 Repair Spec

3) 6 Combat Life Saver

Sounds good. Will you include it in 0.210?

by the way,

Repair cost 0.4% of Vehicle cost

You probably meant 0.4 * vehicle cost = 40% ?

Or Really just 0.4%?

Firstly i must say that in the two hours i've played this version of Warfare i have been blown away at how good it is (Stratis map). I love the Warfare Menu - just so simple and easy to use. But on to my question which is about the "Commander" - in other warfare scenarios there has been an option for an 'AI Commander'. Is this in the pipeline for WASP Warfare?

I haven't fully tested this yet but here are a few things I would like to see implemented.

1) When you join the server and it's near the end start with a decent amount of $ instead of the default.

2) Allow for the commander to go around with the HQ and set up defences anywhere and set AI to gun them (maybe have no barracks limit)

Also are bases destructible yet? Last time I played this you couldn't blow anything up.

If these are already in the game I apologize, haven't fully tested.

For me most important is to implement as fast as possible all primary contents which was on Arma 2 to make Warfare fully playable - example base defences and ai in base.

By the way is there needed some mod on the server to play it? For example http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?152393-zeu_ServerSkill-(Serverside-AI-skill-setting-addon-with-userconfig-configuration) ?

By the way when you making altis version please consider to make it not on whole map (it's extremally big terrain) in arma 2 there were far smaller maps and even on them warfares were long and could cause lags and bad performance. Consider to make it for example on 1/3 or 1/4 of the map. For example Takistan was 13x13 km and altis is some about 25x25 means almost 4 times bigger.

I played a whole game through last night (Stratis)

1) Destroyed my own barracks but could still spawn units, but they spawned far away on a Island. I setup another barracks and had to make sure to select the correct one.

2) It would be cool to add a feature to flip units without having to run up to them.

3) I have no idea how the unit count system works (top right number when spawning units), seems to be a bit of a mess.

4) Message saying unit limit reached (red) is too fast, can barely see it.

5) When your HQ gets destroyed I think you should still be able to spawn on it.

6) Add notices when your buildings are under attack/destroyed

We played the map on Sunday.

She is very well done.

We have noticed some bug, after about 30-40 minutes there is a problem with the Commander that you can not give him more money. It may be something with "no erro Unit".

Also we noticed that the map probably partially collapsed and no more cities were ingestible.

I als spoted bug with gear, especially on the beginning when you trying get back to shop rockets (AT specialist) you will earn money and still have rockets, the same for engineer with toolkit. Thats mean unlimited ammo. I also spoted bug with destroyed structures like factories. You can still build but in the corner of the map.

I can confirm both of these. I hope they get the structures sorted, that is vital.

Two more bugs/exploits

1) If you spam units SUPER fast you can get much more than the limit

2) If you're at the unit cap and you remove one of your lower units (F2 for example) it will still say you can't spawn additional units, you need to remove/kill the last unit

3) You can have more than one command centre

4) If you reach the unit limit you can't buy any empty vehcles

@DeraKoren please consider limitation for ammo. For me it's bad idea (not real). Now we have in arma big stamina penalty when you are to heavy loaded which resolves problem you wanted to resolve by scripts and the other way now it's bugged in mission.

A few more bugs/suggestions

1) When you get shot down in the air and you crash you lose 50% of the vehicles value (friendly fire)

2) Feature: spawning units pick the factory closest to you

3) Feature: Have hook vehicle script built into mission file

But maybe I can suggest one more feature:

Psycho's AIS Injury Script (Link)

We played Patrol Ops some time where it is implemented and we'd like to see it in WASP Warfare too.
