Arma 2 OA. Update MP

So, I just got the game and I get on Arma 2: OA and I try to join MP and it says Bad Version. I have version 1.62 (steam didn't update it by its self) does any one know the update I need to install/what ever I need to do to fix?

You probably tried to join a server running dayz or other mods, they run on beta versions.

I have a similar problem. Most of the servers require versions above 1.62. Something like 1.62.3xxxx or 1.62.9xxxx What is is and where do we get those updates?

The last official patch is dated July 2012 patch 1.62

If you require a later patch there is a beta version of 1.63 used by only a few people testing that patch

You can find the Arma II OA beta patches on steam, just search for it :)

that might be the cause of your issue.

You only need the one you want, they should be backwards compatible, unless you take the newest, which is part of the the 1.63 update test (not backwards compatible), but im actually not sure where 1.62.xxx ends and become 1.63.xxx :/

So simply launch the game, look at the server list and find the version number of the server you want to join, and then download the appropiate version and all should be fine tbh :)
