Ukraine General

Recommended Posts

the question is who made the Ukraine reserves empty, as far i know the last gov before Maidan events were just Russia's puppets

... and they were able ruin Ukraine faster than 3 previous governments together ...

so IMHO it seems like well orchestrated state mess allowing any actions from outside power

Considering Yanuk's regime Russian puppet is huge mistake, it was just not so anti-Russian as current junta. Yanuk was famous for his constant will to seat at two chairs and run from Russia to EU and back. It was he who stated official Ukrainian course as sign a treaty with EU. But one Russian proverb says 'if you run for two rabbits - you will lose both them'.

"Hagel assured by Russian minister Moscow will not push beyond Crimea"

"It’s the secretary’s expectation that minister Shoigu will meet his word,†Kirby told reporters at the Pentagon on Thursday.

Hopefully is gonna be true. Although if they have plans to invade more parts of Ukraine, why would they tell them publicly?

Russia now will stand apart and look on that show.

No, it can't. If it ever could have, we wouldn't have ended up with the USSR falling together. Whilst the US only spent ~5% of its GDP on on defense, the USSR spent ~48% of its GDP on defense, and could neither keep up, or have an even remotely functioning society and economy. If Russia all of a sudden can pose a serious threat to the US economy today, something out right magical has occurred since '91.

Ukraine deputy Alexey Goncharenko. Strasbourg.

What Ukraine people think about him?

http://youtu.be/5OcUptj6B8I

Who is that guy? He is the son of Ukraine official. His father is the mayor of Odessa. Why people don't like him? For example on the first video he is telling to women that he was working from times when he was 14 years age old. And she is say to him, stop saying lies to us, everybody know who you are and from what family you are. You never worked and you don't gather, but my son start work in 14 years, because of your father.

On the seond video. He is standing in Crimea and tells to camera that there is no problem with Russian language there. Journalist telling him - but you can change it any time, you have a project of that law. And Alexey say - yes, we can, it's our buisness what to do and what not to do here. And the problem with police begins when he start telling to policeman, who you are? how you can touch me? do you know who i am? (policeman just remove him from crowd and ask to stop to provoke people)

If the saame amount of Inflating the money amount and the same praxis is just printing money had been applied by the USSR it wouldnever have fallen apart. The US end EU systems have alread<y collapsed...both are just cheating and handing out worthless money they can never back up neither by gold nor by goods. The USSR fell because it had no control over its own currency while the still FED controls most currencies...but less everyday.

If the USA was forced to use goods, like the USSR had to, as exchange instead of virtual book money it would be over in less than 6 months.

The USA real goods economy is weak, very weak. USA is trying to make book mony out of book money and this kind of virtual economy without real value backup is chrashign the world economy all 10 years since the 70's when the gold standard was abolished.

Some people still don't know the slight difference and some people can't stand it that Russia has so tight relationsship with a certain western country without a real goverment that is currently keeping up the whole EU.

You know, there's been same opinion in USSR for 70 years. Yet the "money printing capitalism" strives for two centuries already, and communist USSR has collapsed ultimately.

And - what are the criteria you base your opinion on when you say "it has collapsed"?

It has already collapsed beacause it (the EU and USA) can never return it's debt without provoking a stocks and finance crash to make the current currrecnies worthless. Its like saying all is well because you can still pay your debts by lending more money.

Somehow the world lives in this collapsed state since 1800s. Name me one country without national debt ☺

http://www.polskieradio.pl/5/3/Artykul/1085562,CNN-wywiad-ostrzega-przed-inwazja-Rosji-na-wschodnia-Ukraine

According to a secret U.S. intelligence document, the probability of entering Russian forces to Ukraine is much higher than previously thought - about CNN correspondent reported a source in the Ministry of Defense.
As CNN journalist reports, the situation on the border with Ukraine resemble a gathering of Russian troops before Russian aggression in Chechnya and Georgia, in the number and type of units.
U.S. officials estimate that at the border with Ukraine concentrated around 30,000 soldiers. CNN writes, the U.S. intelligence community assesses that it's too much to exercise, and besides there is no sign that the maneuvers actually take place.

Americans assume that Russia may try to take eastern Ukraine, in order to have access to the Crimea from the land - says CNN. In addition, the Russian forces would go towards three major cities - Kharkiv, Lugansk and Donetsk. Currently, the focus in Rostov, Kursk and Belgorod and around the city - says U.S. intelligence, according to CNN.

Norway. The critical point is reached when that debt is more then 70% of the Gross National Product. A lot of states exceed 100% already and thats a quite new phenomenon fpr the large economies...back in the 80's that was considered a 3rd world problem.

The whole USA situation is a full analogy to the fall of the USSR.

Lie. Norway has national debt at the level of 30% GDP.

Which doesn't mean anything, actually, because Japan has it at 200% GDP, and its currency is second only to USD and EUR. North Korea, on the other hand, has 0.4% debt/GDP, but it's one of the weakest economies.

It's easy to blame someone else (Russians, Americans, Jews, witches), much harder it is to actually do something about yourself and your country.

That's the whole Ukrainian fleet? Or is it just the Black Sea fleet?

The whole. They don't have any another fleets.

Oops, brainfart. Forgot where Ukraine is :p

That's quite a small fleet for such a big country. I'm pretty sure Croatia's fleet is only a bit smaller.

Dolphins Defect(CNN)

Weeks after Russia annexed Ukraine's Crimea region, it plans to take custody of dolphins in the nation as well.

Not just any dolphins. These highly trained military mammals detect risks such as sea mines or enemy scuba divers trying to slip through. Sea mines are sophisticated weapons that can sink ships and other watercraft.

Well now Croatia has a bigger fleet than the Ukraine.

Just for lulz here is the croatian navy.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_active_Croatian_Navy_ships

You get a picture for almost every ship instead only for every category if you switch to the croatian language.

I had the chance to see some of them in action. All I can say is that the big missile Boats, especially the fast attack Missile boats of the King class, are unbelievably loud. You can hear them from kilometers away.

On the right side of the picture posted above are the ships that got captured by Russia. Will the Ukraine receive any form of compensation for the loss of Krimea and it´s fleet?
