How We Operate

The 5th Airborne Brigade Combat Team operates off of the infantry and (when applicable) armor tactics of the U.S. Army, as well as using the Army's leadership training to build a stronger force. Our mottoes of "Mission First!", and "Always Forward, Always Attacking!", are not merely words.

"Mission First!"-means exactly that. If a trooper is wounded or killed, but those alive can complete the mission at the possible loss of their brother trooper, then the mission will be squared away before a medic returns to the downed trooper.

"Always Forward, Always Attacking!"- This motto is a reference to our fighting style and our nickname. What it means is this- we will not shy away from a fight because we are not going alone. We will always be on the attack, because we are "Hard Chargers". This is also reflected by the fact that we "shoot, move, and communicate" and do not stop unless it's to secure bodies or for the fact that we are incapacitated.

How To Apply

If you believe yourself capable of earning a place amongst us, and are up for the challenge of earning our Shoulder-Sleeve Insignia- here are our requirements:

1) Working microphone.

2) 18 years of age or older. (Parental consent can be given for anyone under 18, but this is still carefully watched.)

3) Willing to follow and give orders as needed.

4) Willing to fight tactically.

5) Willing to devote at least one hour a week for training/Operations. (Life comes first though.)

6) Willing to, if needed, lead a unit.

7) Complete an interview with the Brigade Combat Team Command Sergeant Major on TeamSpeak 3.

If you happen to meet or exceed these requirements, here is a link to our website:

Unit size and name change:

As of 08 APR 2014, the 5th Cavalry Division was modified into an Airborne Brigade Combat Team. As such, the unit requirements in capacity are greatly smaller and the need of Infantry Enlistment Option volunteers is paramount. 11Xs will be immediately placed in training platoons with as little delay as possible.

All ArmA 3 Soldiers will be placed (until unit growth is confirmed) in Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 82nd Airborne Infantry Regiment. Upon confirmed and full growth of the needs of the Company, members will be added to a new Company, and so on.
