TricksterofU 10 Posted January 9, 2014 Hi, I've been trying to install and updated arma 2 recently and when I extract the update patch, Avast pops up and warns me of a Win32 Evo Gen virus. This is quite recent and I do not believe Avast is pulling jokes with me because a few days ago before I did a system reformat and updated, this warning did NOT show up. John Kozak 14 Posted January 9, 2014 Hi, Avast is especially notorious for having false positives on unchanged executables after virus DB upgrade. I'd suggest you verify the patch file hash (there's one printed at the official download page) to remove any doubts and then just add this file to whitelist.
