I would like to ask permission to include this mod in my combined pack for my server. I really like this mod and am creating a combined pack for my server and would like to include this one.

Well, that steam workshop copy of this was taken down, so I guess he still reads this:

Great mod, I used it with Arma 2 (Which I only got december of 2016 when it was on sale), and since very recently I got Arma 3 on the last steam sale, I downloaded the Arma 3 version of this mod.

I have just two suggestions in case you would want to come to this mod (and perhaps upload it to the steam workshop, that workshop is convenient)

1) In Arma 2, it was a bit finicky to get two aircraft latched to the deck, so this new chopper sticking mechanic is good... but the old option to lash items to the deck also had its advantages. One problem is that VTOL aircraft don't stick to the deck, and I assume wheeled vehicles don't either. It would be cool, for instance, if we could have Hunters on top of the deck, where helos could get to them for sling-loading. Also It could be a fun mini-carrier for F-35s.

2) Allow vehicles other than those boats to attach to the FSF. Consider the possibilities of using this to deploy submersibles, or perhaps even an AMV-7 marshall.

This addon has a lot of potential. With VTOLs it can act like a mini carrier- a mobile one unlike static ones (the old LHD, or the nimitz), and if it could also deliver medium armor to shore, that would be awesome.

I hate to dig up ancient posts but thought that it would be relevant since some clowns have decided to claim this one as their own and not give credit to @-APS-Gnat . They have verbatim copied his Armaholic post for the "features" of their "privately" developed mod.

They were confronted about it, they claimed Gnat is dead and was the uploaders brother.

When told that thats nonsense they started throwing racist slurs and banned the guy who was confronting them. Its just some racist kids on a power trip...

Thanks to those who reached out and contacted me, I'm returning to the forums after a long spell away.

This kid on Steam Workshop is clearly a delusional narcissist.

The so called "author" is spinning stories and deleting my comments/instructions to remove my addon from the Workshop.

Any advice on how to get Steam to pull it down?

Gnat, Nice to see you back bud.In regards to the steam issue, you need to file a DMCA thru steam. Its easy and it remembers your info you input to make it a lil easier on us if you get into a reupload battle.Which may ensue.Remember they have nothing to lose. But keep your cool, dont let it stress ya cos it can be dealt with. You will have to provide proof.i.e. a site were you have uploaded it to or whats best is a upload to steam prior to the dickheads upload.Proof of upload first will immediately get their upload removed.Once that is done he will reupload again. From my experience. He will lodge a counter claim in which you have 2 weeks of his next upload. So you will have to check the steam workshop everyday untill that period is over.If you miss his reupload after his counterclaim you are screwed.(double check that timeline to be sure and up to date). There is an app somewhere to help with the steam search.I'am unsure of this app's name etc.Google it maybe or search these forums.Unfortunately ive been thru this and learnt the hard way.I might add that a claim i had made was rejected due to not having uploaded my work to steam and was stored in my Onedrive.Cant remember if the date of my Onedrive version was older than the illegally uploaded version though.

No reasons are given iirc. You'll get the feeling your dealing with a bot but your not.Steam must do this all day long.

Best of luck m8.

Gnat! ...........

We miss old faces here brother, virtual hugs, lol

As for your question, on the workshop page itself there is a flag its to the right corner of the pictures at the bottom,

across right of the "add to collections" button, click on that, and report them, but on that report page fill out that form, where it says:

Quote

If you'd like to report Copyright Infringement and are the copyright holder, please proceed

to our DMCA compliant notice of copyright infringement form here.

Then click on the link (the word here) and fill out the form also.

In the future if you need to keep track of your work on the workshop, use this

As for that "author" that uploaded your work and claiming it his, this dude has this on his steam profile:

Multiple VAC bans on record | Info

1088 day(s) since last ban

Go figure :h:

Gnat i reported the mod on the workshop, also i subbed to the mod to take a look at the files, and guess what we have

http://prntscr.com/t3c4k4

since your mod was on armaholic with the same exact file names, and file size

https://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24109

Quote

Included files:
gnt_fsf.pbo

Imo it proves that its yours!

Also i made a comment on the workshop page, he'll probably delete it once he gets on, cant wait to see this get taken down!

Welcome back! Cheers!

False misleading information

Since you are one of the people who uploaded this mod onto Steam, maybe you can answer a simple question.

You and your partner on Steam claim you developed the Sea Fighter mod yourself. Maybe you can explain why your Sea Fighter mod is exactly the same as Gnat's mod that was released  in 2014? You even used Gnat's pictures, and description on your Steam page.

@Very Presidential Everything here, mainly the fact that this post has been around longer than you have likely been alive, bodes very poorly in your favour. I'm not sure why you think insults and falsities make for good arguments when the rest of the mature world relies on facts that, in this case, have already been proved.

edit: And good luck @[aps]gnat

They deleted all comments that didn't support them in any way from the looks. I posted a couple of comments that were removed a couple hours later. The ego on some of these people are absolutely terrible, similar to the SWOP devs in my opinion.

Thats the best you can do? Really dude, if you or whomever created the craft why does as beno_83au has said and i pointed out in my

previous post that the name, description, file name, pictures are all the same as here?

Then you disprove Gnat as being someone claiming to be an imposter or what have you, if this were to be

judged in a court of law the evidence proving that its Gnats work is overwhelmingly on his side.

Lets compare notes between Gnats mod on Armaholic and the version on the Workshop:

  1. Released in 2014 via this thread, check page 1 OP for the date.
  2. Posted on Armaholic by Gnat on  2014-01-04 14:43  https://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24109
  3. Short description which you (Very Presedinetial ) seem to have used is the same exact one except you used the Sea Fighter (FSF-1) as your workshop title instead.
  4. The same exact pictures were used as your main steam pics, other then the two you seemed to have taken yourself.
  5. The same exact file name was used, http://prntscr.com/t3c4k4  your mod from the workshop which you changed on the 20th http://prntscr.com/t42ec9
  6. Here is a screenshot of the armaholic files on my desktop  http://prntscr.com/t42dcd
  7. Opening the pbo of your workshop "version" and seeing that like Gnat to be so thorough with his work he included a readme in the pbo itself, https://prnt.sc/t42eul
  8. Even all the file name dates match between the workshop and the armaholic version, take a look Workshop http://prntscr.com/t42gy1
  9. Armaholic version file name dates http://prntscr.com/t42hw5 and readme http://prntscr.com/t42hkl
  10. If you open the FSFInit.sqf script in the first folder, even Gnats name http://prntscr.com/t42j6c is on the script, the script date is from 2014. Look at the address names of the scripts on top for the folder address from where they were opened from for comparison.        Armaholic version http://prntscr.com/t42mir
  11. Take a look at some of the scripts and files in your workshop version, the oldest script in there is from http://prntscr.com/t42kcn 2010 and with Gnats name on it, Arma3 wasn't released until 2013.
  12. If you open the config.bin for the addon, and then open the CfgVehicles.hpp and compare notes look at the script addess bars - Workshop http://prntscr.com/t42p7w  Gnat's Armaholic http://prntscr.com/t42pfm
  13. Cfg.patches.hpp Workshop http://prntscr.com/t42qhz  Gnat's Armaholic, http://prntscr.com/t42qwx  again look at the folder address's in the top bar to show where the script is being opened from.
  14. lash.sfq script workshop  http://prntscr.com/t42sdf    Armaholic http://prntscr.com/t42sqw
  15. Compare both pbo files opened, only thing that was changed and recent was the pbo name itself which was done via the workshop version. All the files are the same, even the dates, workshop on the left, Gnat's Armaholic on the right http://prntscr.com/t42tio
  16. Gnat also has another post Arma2 http://armamods.io/mod/96295/fast-sea-frame-fsf-1-sea-fighter/ and here http://armamods.io/mod/171070/fast-sea-frame-sea-fighter-assault-craft/
  17. and here https://www.moddb.com/games/arma-3/addons/fast-sea-frame-assault-craft
  18. video on it posted in 2014 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olZAz2X1N4k
  19. his other post on the boat which goes back to arma2 days http://www.armedassault.info/index.php?game=1&cat=addons&id=1295
  20. Gnat also has a post talking about it showing configs of it on the OFPEC editing center https://www.ofpec.com/forum/index.php?topic=36357.0

=============================

Workshop evidence that proves that its theirs?

I found nothing in google and only 12 pages came up for the name Sea Fighter (FSF-1)

what i find funny is Mr. Very presidential https://steamcommunity.com/id/masermind1450

has

What i find interesting is that among the many friends he has, there are quite a few of them that also

have VAC bans, even one with an SR caution.

Heres Very presidential's reputation profile for steam https://steamid.uk/profile/76561198101376385  and https://steamrep.com/profiles/76561198101376385

Littoral Combat Ship workshop "reupload"

Another Ship that is here https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2117126471

is from TXT here https://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=25700

https://forums.bohemia.net/forums/topic/168113-littoral-combat-ship-lcs-1/

same description as the workshop, hmmm i smell an reupload without permissions.

Even gnats missile's are in this workshop version http://prntscr.com/t449p7

Comparison of files for the ships, workshop left armaholic right, notice the date my cursor is pointing to and the folder paths http://prntscr.com/t44bfr

missile script comparison workshop left, http://prntscr.com/t44dyh    armaholic right, again look at the folder paths http://prntscr.com/t44en8

Config.bin is from 2014 same time of release. Workshop left, armaholic right, again notice folder paths http://prntscr.com/t44fiy

====================

Thats two ships reuploaded without permissions.

Workshop version also reported!

==============

If either ship was Mr.Very presidential, or part of his group, based on the config and file dates, why did they wait 6 years to release it?

I spent about 4hrs on this post, why?

I support my community, and i hate thieves, and compiling and research is what i love to do.

I hope this gets taken care of in good taste and properly so that credits are given to those who are true to the original.

Lesson here is create your own shit or ask! Cheers!

@Gunter Severloh as always that's some crazy effort you've put into your post. Unfortunately though I doubt they're the kind of people who will read what is there, or care at all if they did. Maybe the post is worth linking into the Steam reports?

Thanks, yes i reported both workshop uploads, and both i linked my previous post,

i cannot make an official claim obviously on the Littoral ship but the original author could although he hasn't been on since 2019

has has a number of ways to contact him on his profile which i think i will try and point him to my post and that worskhop page.

Is reporting a viable option to help ? I reported those two stolen mods, giving the link to this thread (and especially this excellent investigation by @Gunter Severloh) in both reports descriptions.

EDIT : answer already given, sorry

Looks like justice has been served!

@[aps]gnat it seems that your craft is safe and sound back at home where it belongs.

It looks like the page for the craft has been taken down see for yourselves

https://steamcommunity.com/id/masermind1450/myworkshopfiles/?appid=107410

all that is remaining for the time being is the Littoral Combat Ship.

Seems like they took down the LCS as well. Very Presidential only has one mod left on his workshop at this point, and it's not for Arma 3.

Nice!  when i was last on the forum here the LCS was still there.

When i did report both ships i linked my thread with all the comparison screenshots, lol

Serves them right, i mean if you wanted to do it right all they had to do is get a hold of Gnat and ask, but then even

Gnat stated on the Armaholic page that he didn't want any uploads to the workshop.

What makes them look bad is the fact that they had the guile to claim it was theirs, the other factors was that they were to dumb to actually be creative about it

and actually take some different screenshots, even for the cover picture at least for Gnats.

On top they literally copied the same exact descriptions on the armaholic pages. The other thing which caught my eye was the changelog which was just updated the same day

they were accused, luckily i had subbed to the mod prior to it to open the files and look and compare notes so to speak, the guy basically just renamed the pbo

probably thinking that would show or prove the files were his/theirs.  Any arma player with half a brain can change the name of the pbo, its whats inside that counts.

Anyways all said and done, im glad this was sorted and i helped, if anyone has any suspected "theft" of their mod gimme a shout, i'll go to bat for ya and

do some detective work and sort it out. 😉

Lets get back on subject before the thread gets derailed anymore, and FM decides to whip me :torture: lol Cheers!
