Iron Front as mod in Arma 3

I just ran the PWS automatic one, I DLed the 31 mb or so IFA3 mod... which then "processed" a ton of shit and copied those folders, and ran 2 patcher exes,

so idk about any "required folders"

also im getting the wrong faction icons and a shit ton of CFG errors too... also getting random TKOH GUI elements on the menus

use manual installation the PWs mode has weird features there is a video

Are those missing textures/buildings on the brown ground? It looks way too square-ish, looks like there was supposed to be a building or something.

Suggestion for any good IF-Mission maker out there:

CO OP Mission like from the Movie FURY.

1. Move Tanks and Inf Squads to clear out a German town.

2. Then move to a " Crossroad " and hold it against Germans SS-Battalion for a time limited or any other good " end mission"

Required Mods

This mission requires that you have the Iron Front and the D-Day DLC mods for Arma 3 (either full or FREE lite versions) and also the AllinArma Terrain mod (http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?182072-All-in-Arma-Terrain-Pack-(AiA-TP)-A1-A2-OA-terrains-from-BI-in-A3) or the lite version of AllinArma Terrain Map pack installed to play this.

This mission uses Chernarus Summer map.

Tasks

Your tasks are to move from the FOB area to clear the 4 forward locations of enemy forces. Then move to the village area to destroy enemy assets. Including 3 PAK40s, tank and a radio mast. In this CO-OP/SP mission, you play a US 25 man combined arms assault team, operating on the Chernarus area in 1944, fighting German forces. The team consists of a 9 and a 6 man US Army squads.

Resources

In addition, there is a sherman tank, with 5 playable slots, which infantry can ride on the back if required (under high command if needed). There is also a 1 man flyable P47 support aircraft, with service assets near its airfield. (under high command if needed) Furthermore there is a 2 man playable mortar/artillery team, whom also have access to a towable anti-tank if needed. (under high command if needed).

Lastly, there is a 2 man sniper/spotter team, for recon' purpose and elimination of HVTs. (under high command if needed) The FOB, has a limited virtual ammo system box, which has explosives, back packs, static weapons and limited, none respawnable vehicles, including a halftrack.

Enemy

Enemy forces consist of elements of Waffen SS and Heer, are operating a defensive strategy in the AO. Expect upto 2 companies in the AO, with an extremely well defended area around the village, including 3 PAK40 anti tank guns, several MG42 nests, mortar, entrenched infantry and a tank of unknown type.

Support

It's important to note here, that only the team leader, of Sadist squad, has Zeus control of Iron Front in Arma 3 assets only and has radio support control of artillery if needed. Also, please not that at the spawn start, players have the option of paradropping into a selected map position if needed.

Revive

When players die, the will need to be revived by a medic only. Alternatively, they can suicide and will respawn back at the US starting base.

Changeable Mission Parameters and Using Teamspeak 3 Plugin Radio Mods

Finally, the mission admin/lead when logged in, can change the mission parameters to suit their needs. This also includes AI caching at different distances to help with game performance, options to run ACRE or Task Force Radio Mods.

Hey Mr. Pederson,

Major Mayhem has a sequence of missions similar to this that we play on Fridays/Mondays. He might be able to convert it A3, but best to check with him.

Hi, just wondering if anyone can help. I've been meaning to get Iron Front for a while but missed it in the last couple of steam sales, thinking of getting it this time around. I've hired a server for Arma 3 with a few friends, is the installation process for IFA3 similar to other mods? I've already uploaded a few to the server using mod folders but obviously they don't use content from another game so I'm thinking its going to be different.

Yes and no, the first thing is first, you need to meet the requirements to even have IFA3 work.

1. you need legit copy of IF

2. it needs to be patched

3. you need to convert IF with the conversion tool

4. you need IFA3SA

5. then patch IF with the v1.07-1.12 patches which will add the other required mods

6. then you need to make sure you start the server with the correct mod load.

You need permission from PacUk and I44 team to do that.

Maps, units, weapons, vehicles, anything they made requires permission to port, not doing that you will get yourself banned, or whomever does it without acquiring the permissions.

Consider whats involved and whom owns what, and the licenses established to protect modders work. Get permission!

I was asking if someone could do it, of course i know you need permission, i am also active on the I44 forums and familiar with the mod, i asked if someone could do it that has permission. I already asked them, but it seems the devs are not active (at least on the forums), they also canceled their project on Invasion 1944 2 (for Arma 3)

It's the vanilla Iron Front maps! Didn't even saw how amazing those churches look until yesterday.

Sniping is also very exciting. Just sitting there in a bush (enemies can still spot you through bushes and trees -_-) but this German thought he could run away from the mighty 7,62 x 54.
