Something I've been wanting to add for a long time. Probably the second most important detail next to signs and neonlights.

No, the parked cars has to be added by the misson builder.

A simple template mission should be an easy fix.

Hey Angelwing!

I have around 21 custom buildings now.

Allthough a few needs alot of work still.

Recently I worked on unenterable buildings, some are copy-paste with different textures.

But they are made in such way that they can be piled on top of eachother and create different shaped skyscrapers.

Look at the second picture above and pay attention to the "mall"-building, it has those different unenterable, stackable buildings on top of it to create variation.

Hey bracer good work ,thats a really good spot for urban street battles ,what interests me is how work the KI at this place(waypoints etc.) ? give it many wallhacks ?

Hey Stephsen!

The AI behaves quite good I think!

There is a few places where I havn't made the windows solid, but otherwise they do use the doors (the do go through the doors without opening them... but it's a config problem I believe).

If you place a waypoint from one street to another, the AI sometimes shortcut through the buildings and takes cover there, they can take position on the upper floors in some buildings.

Add some cars standing in the streets and you'll have very nice urban combat.

Although pretty obvious but.. doors does have "geometry" LOD?

Yes, they have. The player cannot walk through it.

I think it might be a config thingy, something like "actionbegin/end" or similar...

But it just gives me errors whenever I try adding it.

Finally Minihattan is nearing a new release!

It will be a few graphical improvements and a bunch of new buildings. The bigger part will be unenterable.

Currently I'm looking at how the buildings look at night time. I would like them to be slighly lit up to look alive.

I'm also looking for an easy way to make the terrain more interesting.

Wow!! This is really coming along nicely. Great work bracer. I am hoping that Bad Benson will port his Alienz mod over to A3 because this city map is just screaming for an intense alien invasion machinima.

How about adding in some ambience.Possible to create steam(smoke) from manhole covers/sidewalk?

Broken/burnt out police cars?

Garbage along street(set a scene like residents quickly fleed)

parking meters strown around?

Cant think of much else ambient,and either way mission makers can add these things in.

Great island,thinking of recreating ghost recon scenarios as this reminds me of GRAW2

NOT that you seem to need it mate,but if you need inspiration and ideas i suggest strongly you check out an old PS2 title by the name of FREEDOM FIGHTERS.

Set in manhattin,russian takeover(ura!)

Another way to go...militarize it in some areas with chainlink fence/barb wire/sandbags/checkpoints.

Satic ground to sky searchlights possible?

Soory if im thinking outside the scope of this map.Maybe just thinking aloud the possibilities;)

Again,mission maker can do all this but just sharing ideas.
