Chenarussian Defense Forces (2009-2035) (first addon)

Aside from being the main texture for units for the upcoming ArmA III Czech Military Forces (CMF) i have decided to start making a separate addon adding the CDF from arma 2.

there will be 3 faction 4 unit sections

BLUFOR faction:CDF

1.CDF(2009): Chernarus Defense Forces as they appear in ArmA II. Using Russian transnistria Camouflage. and i am trying to get permissions from massi to use his weapon pack to supply the weapons

2.CDF(2035): Chernarus Defense Forces upgraded to 2035 standards equipped with NATO and Russian assets of the time period (T-95 Black Eagle[T-100], ZiL Punisher[ifrit],Mil MI-48 Kajman, Patria AMV [AMV-7 Marshal]) and given a custom camo based heavily on the desert VZ.95 Czech camouflage (featured in Atinakiris Czech Military Forces mod).

i have no pictures as of right now and probably wont for a while.

BLUFOR faction:NAPA

1.NAPA: The NAPA soldiers as they appear in ArmA II and with a mix of ArmA III assets (due to how ArmA II ends if you got the best ending)

OPFOR Faction: Chedaki

1.ChDKZ(2009): Chedaki as they appear in ArmA II with FIA-style uniforms

2.CRSM(2035): associated with the past Chedaki. the Chenarussian Red Star Military. given weapons by CSAT and also has stolen NATO assets.

UPDATE FIRST POST:

WIP mod logo (Credit to BI studios for the Chernarussian Flag)

also Possible Blufor Faction South Zagorian Army (the bigger country chernarus is part of)

and WIP pics of uniforms will appear within the next few days

Actually South Zagoria is the Arma 2 map, Chernarus is the larger country.

Look forward to seeing how these turn out.

thanks for the info, if im not mistaking that that still may be wrong, i learned that South Zagoria is actually the area just north of the A2 map, that is why it appears so small when you look at it on a map, ill fix and change the 2nd faction for BLUFOR to something else

Also thank you MistyRonin, i actually updated the uniforms and have a single 2035 guy in (right now at uniform testing phase) they are equipped with a custom Czech Vz.95 desert inspired camo set in woodland and it looks pretty nice

Nope, South Zagoria is the Arma 2 "Chernarus". And, I think the Green Sea Region is pretty much the Caspian Sea region (that and Takistan could fit right above Dagestan).

the funny thing is takistan is actually right next to the country of chernarus look here and yea im just off but hey its a WIP there is stuff to do still

by the way a little Teaser of the 2035 units (helmet texture didnt show up for a reason so its default) Still note that the weapons and map do not come with the mod, they are just used for the screens untill i get permission from massi to use them

thanks, i want to try learning to make islands and once i do im going to try remaking chernarus (from scratch without use of any pre-existing material, just a remake with A3 building and forestation) and if it requires BI permission to make a remake of a map then i will ask. the Chernarus i will make will be basicly for use with 2035 units due to it being more ahead of time than what it is in a2 chernarus,

ALSO new pics of the 2035 units inbound, and my god they are nice, ima start working on a Chedaki rifleman now and a CRSM one too

For that we don't need any remakes, we need to wait till BI gives someone permision to port in Chernarus+ or maybe BI will put it in A3 later on. I don't think that renewing Chernarus to future look would be good idea, i bet it would lose its atmosphere. Chernarus is ment to be dark, wet and cold. And i love those new tall buildings in Chernarus+ , maybe if someno could edit that map to add few modern building but not too much. Plus i don't think that it would be that easy and fast to remake map like that. And i don't think that to make a remake of terrain that is real life location needs BI permision. Permision would be needed to use same name i gues.

yea i can understand your point of view, and the chances of a official Chernarus+ addon may be a sure no for all we know, that is what inclined me to try once i learn to make islands. so we may just have to wait and see the result once i do learn and if i am given permission

and by units i mean just the 2009 and 2035 basic riflemen so you can see them in game

this mod is still in the works, development has been confirmed halted though, it will be worked on i assure you, and actually may be converted to a addon of a addon for ArmA III Operation Jayfeather. If that happens, all uniforms will be redone as with all the 2009 units scrapped. the name would be changed, if it does happen, to [MDLC] A3JO-ChernWarriors, basing on a MEU deployed to chernarus to stop Iran PRO rebels
