MistaMeowmas 10 Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Heyo, so I've got a few issues with ArmA 2 that have just arisen. So, the main issue is, the game loads reaaaally slowly, when only awhile ago it used to run fairly well honestly. Load times were short, now they're about, two minutes, with or without addons. And also, when I minimize the game, and then re-open it, they both take a good while to disable the mouse in game so I can access windows, and to re-initialize everything in game so I can start playing again. It used to be instant, and I have NO idea what-so-ever why it's slowed all of a sudden. I've tried changing the settings around a bit, but even that takes a good thirty seconds for each change. Again, it used to run really well, and I have a computer that can handle it, it just runs slowly all of a sudden. Any help? EDIT: I've done a full reinstallation, and the game is still loading slow and minimizing slowly. I've lowered all settings in game to the lowest and still no change. Really dunno with this anymore. Welp, the last thing I know I changed on windows was the page file, but I fixed that. If there are logs or anything that the techs need, I can upload them. But please respond if possible? Quick note as well, when I minimize, the game because 'non-responsive' on Task Manager for a short while before becoming 'running' again. ---------- Post added at 03:09 ---------- Previous post was at 02:50 ---------- Another note! Just found out, I've narrowed it down to just OA, since I can launch just ArmA II, without OA and everything else and it runs perfectly fine. Alright, so I ran just one mod, 'TCG's Island Life' mod, and the game ran how it used to. But if I run vanilla or ACE mods, it runs very slowly. Hrm.. Fixed! I contacted support, and after a full clean reinstall (Which probably didn't change much) and sending a few files to support, they told me to run with the Win-XP compat mode on my launcher with the parameter -winxp and it's worked so far!
