Task Force Arrowhead Radio

Recommended Posts

Hi. After 0.9.5 ArmA3 start to ignore my radio_keys.hpp(redacted)(0.9.4 using it just fine) and PW6 download defaults "radio_keys.hpp" file that contains this lines

class task_force_radio_settings {

// =================================================

// Server side only

// =================================================

tf_no_auto_long_range_radio = 0;

TF_give_personal_radio_to_regular_soldier = 0;

tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side = 0;

tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side = 0;

tf_same_dd_frequencies_for_side = 0;

// =================================================

// END: Server side only

// =================================================

// Client side

// =================================================

tf_default_radioVolume = 7;

// =================================================

// END: Client side

// =================================================

};

Some changes in the process?

Hi nkey, we have been having some problems with TFR. Every once in a while the TFR Plugin stop working just after someone dies. As if this person won't be using TFR at all and everybody can hear him from everywhere. So we need to disconnect and reconnect to the server so the TFR can work again. Any ideas?

Again, thank you for such an amazing mod :)

Hi,

we managed to get the proximity talking to work again. It was a problem with the mission, dont know excactly what caused it but it works again.

However now BluFor spawns with RedFor radios :/

I was confused by this initally...

Oh yes. I managed to mix them up.

What I meant to report is that since the latest update the "SW Transmit" hook has a higher priority than the "SW Transmit Additional". So if you for example bind the "SW Transmit" to the key 'X', and the "SW Transmit Additional" to 'SHIFT+X' then the "SW Transmit" will trigger whether you press shift or not. And it is not possible to get the "SW Transmit Additional" to trigger at all.

But if you bind them the other way around: ["SW Transmit" = SHIFT+X] and ["SW Transmit Additional" = X]

Then it works, because higher priority hook will not trigger unless shift is pressed.

Same Problem here .. No TFAR after respawn as Player. Disconnect and reconnect to the Server work for TFAR :)

Server Mods : @CBA , @TFAR(0.9.5) , @BWMOD & @AGM

nkey, Thanks for update.

How can we get access for this DARG?

It is probably you watch slot. If you have it and open rifleman radio - you will see also programmator.

Just installed 0.96.

Plugin in Teamspeak says that it's not connected

Task Force Radio Status (0.9.6):Connected N Play N P:0.9.6 A:

Arma and TS (x64) are started as admin.

Radios are available ingame.

Keyboard commands are working as it says it's transmitting.

ATM I'm struggling to find a solution.

0.92 worked flawlessly.

---

EDIT:

Found the problem. TFAR 0.96 doesn't work in the editor.

Is this on purpose or should I open a new issue on github?

I guess he was referring to the classname, if we want to add it to units manually.;)

I've yet to see any radio addon that works in the editor.

I don't think it's an issue at all. Simply port over the mission you had on the editor to mp and locally host a session and there you go.

Somehow I feel, I could've thought of looking there. :D Thanks!

edit: I just got an idea. Wouldn't it be possible to add a system to specify if a unit should get a rifleman radio or a sw radio with a variable attached to the unit? Something in the line of

_unit setVariable ["tf_radioToGive","tf_anprc148jem"];
if (isNil {_unit getVariable "tf_radioToGive"}) then {replace the itemRadio with the standard radio} else {replace the itemRadio with the radio from the variable};

That way mission creators have the flexibility to add certain radios to certain units. Wouldn't that be possible?
