shiftysean 21 Posted May 30, 2014 (edited) Wow. Had a small arma break for some time, came back to see the enormous progress made here. Impressive to say the least. Love the m4 models, and looks like the hk416 is coming along nicely aswell. Guess my post wouldn't be complete without a bug report (or atleast I think it is) All the units carrying pistols have a 30rnd mag in them (and I'm assuming that's not correct) :P. Small thing, I know ;) Keeping track of this amazing addon again ;) Have a question aswell actually, don't the Dutch marines use the FN minimi aswell? Specially as an automatic rifleman position (currently that slot is filled with the FN mag ingame, guessing that's more the machinegunner though). As a server admin this is terrible news, as it's hard to reduce the mods needed for immersive gameplay and justify cosmetic mods with still getting enough people to download your mods and come to your server. And the R3F armes mod is huge in size with all sorts of weapons. Add the CBA mod on top of that (although most people will already be running it). Where is the new HK416 model you were talking about? Surely it wasn't just the R3F HK416? Daantjeeuh 10 Posted June 30, 2014 Use the mod standalone? This is not exactly possible through PWS, you need to download R3F. And not using R3F WILL throw lots of errors in the server file, at users and might even break missions. You didn't reduce anything, you made it a lot bigger with the R3F mod. =kct=blackmamba 44 Posted June 30, 2014 it would have gotten allot bigger if i added all weapons in myself, plus it saved me time. even if u download trough "PWS" it still comes with extra fanilla cfg's, so the "end user" and "server admin" desides to not/use the R3F stuff. marines use the colt M4's and FNMag's yes, marsof uses HK416/417's and many more equipment that differs from the marines equipment. yes the M240 is not in the R3F mod, i made these changes some time ago and mixed up the M240 with the 7.62 FN Minimi. now most soldiers are equiped with the HK416, the AR dude haves the FN Minimi and the designated marksman is equiped with the HK417. snipers now use the L115A3 but u can Always use the M107 may the need arise. Daantjeeuh 10 Posted June 30, 2014 The equipment that is actually used doesn't matter much to me, it's just sad to see some good stuff go when it is in use with the MARSOF units (like the C7/C8/FN MAG). Using alternate cfg's is not an option as by this point the damage of having to download another big mod has already been done. Most people that come to a server don't even want to be bothered with downloading a lot of mods, let alone two. In my opinion it's a really bad idea to make this mod a requirement as people will have to download it when they use PWS, it's not optional. It's quite hard to justify a 200MB download of a mod when only a few weapons are used, while everyone would like to see their favourite units in a server. Please take this into consideration. The snipers are replaced for I believe an explosive specialist, AUV Operator, yes AUV and an engineer. Stekelenburg 10 Posted July 8, 2014 Oh I didn't red it. btw FullerPJ of the United States Airforce mod is busy with a F-16 and F-35. I believe all of his planes have seperate folders or how you call it, so maybe it's possible to put them in this mod. They don't really have to be reskinned. Daantjeeuh 10 Posted October 26, 2014 (edited) Is this project still being updated? In that case, i found two issues.. The sounds of the L11 are gone. And everytime i go into virtual Arsenal to edit units, it adds NVGs in the backpack that cant be removed from the virtual Arsenal. Could this be looked in to? edit: one more issue: with the MH65, when spawning it in the editor, it has three crew members. One of them will be standing up in the co-pilot seat... Now i needed the 1.3 version of Marsof because that holds some stuff, that is removed in 1.4 and 1.5 later on. Anybody has the 1.3 MOD of MARSOF on file/record/torrent etc.. ?
