256mb graphics

Recommended Posts

My best friend in England said that Nvidia or Radeon were going to release their new 256 mb graphics card at the end of August.... Now personally i haven't seen any news or proof, secondly i think its pathetic considering games dont even need 128mb graphics yet.

Do you think they will release the a 256 mb graphics card sometime this yr?

I doubt that well see it this year. Its not like were talking about processer here. But who knows i might be wrong.

I heard ATI is coming out with a graphics card that is better than the GeForce 4s.

Well, at least ATI has had FireGL card that have 256 MB of memory out for a while, and I think nVidia Quadro cards are available with 256MB setups too... But those arent really meant for desktop use.

But a "256MB memory" stamp on a video card box makes many consumers think its a super fast card, so sure they are going to do it to get your $$$ or €€€ or whatever... And also make lower memory "budget" versions for those who understand that 256MB of video memory isnt really useful for gaming yet.

jeeze, these companies have to slow down....

Games aren't that advanced yet and i hate it how they make new processors so you go out and buy them, 1 month later they're twice as powerful. We dont have the money to constantly upgrade our computers.

Yeah, most people dont understand the logic behind most of the new products made.... So they waste their money doing so... Then finding out that their old card is probably has the same refresh rate.

Btw Kegetys: ive been meaning to ask you.. is that you in your avatar?
