[SP/MP][COOP] Patrol Operations - Official Thread

It is actually a mission parameter located in patrol_ops_3_02a.Altis\data\params.hpp line : 151

code = "if(%1 > 0)then{ enableRadio true; 0 fadeRadio 0; enableSentences true; }else{ 0 fadeRadio 0; enableRadio false; enableSentences false; };";

;) change all to "enableRadio true;" and "0 fadeRadio 1;" (Or preferably just delete the whole parameter)

I Think I love you :) Its working now. I had tried putting all to TRUE but hadn't switched 0 to 1.

I would like to see a Bundeswehr Patrol Operations. Would do this myself but don´t have a clue how to do this. :D

Beside this great mission!

One more question, I would like to have Patrol Operations in German. Anything more to do than to put this line in the server basic.cfg

@CommanderX your game must be in German, then it should work fine.

Only thing what is not working with translation are Tasks, but I think that is game problem. Any thoughts on this Roy? When I set my game in random language which is in stringtable, I have always the original english in Tasks.

Btw could you please add in credits for next PO.3.2 update "Czech - Evro, Baki"? There is blank space at this time :D Thanks!

Where did you read it's for ennemy nase ?

Now i understand you, english is not my language:p, thanks for the solution. I hope in the new version this option return to the Param file.

RL has hit in a big way. Will try to get some documentation up about all the features and answer questions asap.

No Patrol Ops was never designed for singleplayer. It is an MP game mode.

Thanks for the quick response! I've UPVOTED the issue. Can you suggest an alternative way to utilize HC/AI with different code? I don't mind doing the work editing files, I just need help with what code to insert in its place.

Hey guys!

Here is a config for patrol ops 3 with the Middle Eastern Irregulars from @CAF_aggressors and the static weapons by RDS.

It's a very rough job at the moment. You will probably need to edit lots more files to get rid of all traces of the Arma 3 units. I have tested this a little and it works most of the time. I'm not sure if it's down to where I have placed certain markers but sometimes a mission may auto complete. Since there are no (and it would not make sense if there was) insurgent tanks I have replaced them with the offroad armed vehicles from the middle eastern irregulars.

Like I said this is still very WIP so you will still need to do lots of editing to the other mission files. I'm working on getting a mission working for my clan on @Clafghan and/or @fallujah using marines which I may release here once it's working properly.

Amazing Work! the effort put into this mission is outstanding! Thank You for this release.

My question is that I cant seem to find a way to disable the ceasefire in the main base, or cant find the script to edit...

Could someone explain where to find this or what I can do to disable it as our group would like to build a shooting range close to base for weapon testing ect.

Yes it is a great mission, if not one of the best for co-op play. The friendly fire question was answered a few pages back...post 336

Is anyone experiencing big fps loss with the new random patrols system? Even if I set it on low, the FPS will go crazy after some time.

BIS Multiplayer performance isnt fantastic at the moment, especially with 30-40 + Payers and 130 + AI

there is also an engine bug that is reducing FPS on any long running mission after considerable time, as in 1 hour etc

(If your a server admin, monitor the ram useage over time, it increases well above 2GB

There is also a stability issue with 1.12 causing issues for Headless clients.

I dont think Patrol Ops is causing such issues

We have and we figured it's happend because those random patrol unit spawn in every where like 20~40 units appear with vehicles

Can anyone let me know how to turn off specific mission? we played mission (none modified) but some how we mostly have cargo resupply mission, so we decide to turn off some of the mission, i respect whole mission form but it's quiet hard to play only cargo supply mission. would anyone can reply my question?

The admin gui allows you to abandon a mission m8, this then loads the next one

Alternatively you can edit the taskmaster:

patrol_ops_3_01_XXXX.Altis\tasks\po3_taskmaster (Comment out the ones you don't want to do)

Press U for admin GUI and the menu is one of the unlabelled buttons on the bottom left. You can only skip missions or give pilot rights etc if you first login as admin using the "#login <rconpassword>" command in chat.

You definitely should know the basics of the mission.

Just scroll with the mouse wheel and choose the last entry at the bottom. There you find the admin gui. But only if you are server admin or Teamleader.

I did what you said but it seems take pretty long to pop up the mission, some times i have to restart whole mission.

Is there anyway we can get a engineer or repairman in the mission we find it hard to keep vehicles when they cannot be repaired and the despawn rather quickly (tank re-spawned despite only having a damaged track).

Every unit in the support team is a repair specialist (Pilot-crewman slots)

I changed the VAS to the standard one but now I have not for every weapon a muzzle. How to change it to have for every weapon also a muzzle like in the Patrol Ops VAS?
