Multiplayer broken

So I played Arma 3 yesterday on my clans server. Didnt install anything after that, no i want to join the server and when I press Play>Multiplayer the Game just freezes.

I didnt add any mods, didnt install anything else on my computer nothing.

So whats going on?

Can you provide some details of the server and your machine?

What have you tried doing to fix your problem so far?

What do you mean by server? In the game when i press Play > Multiplayer when it is supposed to open the Server Lobby it freezes, so I never even get to the screen where all the servers are shown.

Well what is there to do? I checked Arma3 files through Steam, checked that i have an up to date Battleye dll and other than that nothing.

I mean i played yesterday - all fine, now broken

Have you tried turning off any antivirus or firewall software you have installed?

What type of computer do you have?

Have you changed anything recently? software or hardware.

?? Restarting the game? I started the computer a couple times new so yeah i restarted the game.

Turned Antivirus and firewall off no effect

I'm having the same issue. I load the game up, click Play > Multiplayer and the game locks up for a minute or so, then loads the server browser.

Running latest Dev.

Same for me on stable branch.

Its just a delay and it does come up after about 30secs.

New profile does not help.

Deleting MP cache does not help

Hi guys;

maybe you want to try: play with six, it is external multiplayer browser for Arma series and more. Just google : play with six. Anyway it is only workaround.

same here i've played on our server yesterday morning and since yesterday afternoon when i press multyplayer the game freezes, tried rentall the whole game, deleting profiles folders, arma 3 folder inside program data hidden folder, arma 3 folder in local data, deleted completely arma 3 folder inside steam common, redownloaded the whole game reinstalled it and problem still persists, when i press multiplayer the game freezes, never had an issue like this before in arma, arma 2, and never had arma 3 crashes issues

That is why I marked: "it is only workaround", but one thing is very good, play with six downloads , updates and configures arma 3 mods when you joining modded server. It is very, very handy.

I can confirm with play with six i can play multiplayer thanx pawel, at this point i guess it's steam's fault

EDIT: but when i go back to menu, and from main menu i want to host/test an mp mission created by me, or just entering multiplayer, the game still stops working when i press multiplayer

It reminds me my problem with RainbowSix Vegas 1 and 2 game. Just check your lan/wan configuration. go to: 1. network connection, 2. press left alt, 3. choose advanced, 4. advanced settings, 5. new window will open. 6. check what connections you have (typically first one s/b: Ethernet) if not move it to the first position. cheers, pawel

Thank you very much for this suggestion, but sadly still doesn't work, when i'm pressing in main menu multiplayer button, i get the loading screen and the game freezes

I had a similar issue where it would refuse to show me any servers, many, many reinstalls fixed the problem, i think i installed, checked, verified cache, checked, uninstalled, reinstalled about 5 times before it fixed itself

Same problem all weekend. I have good frame rates for about 10 minuets, then it degrades until I reach 9fps and I have to leave and come back in. Did this in 3 different low ping servers.

Same issue all weekend so something is wrong with steam or the servers. When starting the multiplayer option in the UI, it takes about 1,30seconds to display the MP net list.
