Jerk-o-vision for no reason

Hello i made a ctf map for 3 parties with automatic flag return. Having spent ages making it, i was happy when i was finalyl done coz them return triggers were giving me a hard time. Trying to play the game on a very good dedicated server, the game was unplayable  confused.gif . Somehow, it wasnt lag or desync, the frame rate seemed to drop and every1 in the game was complainnig about it, not just me.

I dedcided to adapt the map and make it a normal 2 party ctf, but the problem persisted.

Does ne1 know what might cause this? Some1 told that it might be due to the fact that the bases are located next to a lake on nogova. ANd that rendering texture for the lake is causing it.

Well let me know what ur thoughts are on this, cheers

I don't know for sure, maybe you are running too many scripts on the server for every player? BUT, you can have bases near the lake without unusual problems, go on www.mtco.com/games OFPR server sometime and you will notice there are two missions with fights occuring near the lake.

With about 12 players, no one had unusual problems. confused.gif

EDIT: My brain is still working... do you have any weapons spilling out of crates or vehicles? On the ground? Look for it... I have seen that exact problem create the conditions you describe.

Yes the ammo is piling up outside of the ammo boxes too. APart from that i think that my auto return flag scripts (2 of em, they execute .sqs file) somehow make the map unplayable. Im gonna try and c if it jerks as much with the normal triggers in i.e. that u return the flag by hand.

Edited: Is there neway to resolve the ammo piling up outside of the ammocrates. Does it have something to do with the way you put ur weapons and ammo in the crates? Ive been lloking aorund this forum but cannot seem to find any suggestions to this. Only saw something in the resistance bug list, but that was just mentioned by some1, no details about how to resolve it. sad.gif
