Now Im not disagreeing. Im not trying to start a fight here. But really do any of you read? quote "Release prep continues and we're carefully juggling what changes we will still update the September 12 release version with. Do you see that everything in the current dev branch not everything in the final release? just saying. Now as for the issue of (the boats especially) vehicles looking the same. yeah, that does suck. But NOT A FUCKING ONE OF YOU BETTER BE PLAYING COD later cause your the biggest hypocrite of them all and........you have the balls to talk about copy and paste? But seriously real life shows that tanks and aircraft are kinda starting to look alike....i don't mean to say oh the Mig looks like F16....but things are starting to have that "if its not broken don't fix it" thing going on. Yes there is some wild ass aircraft out there but in the context of arma.....do you need a space station? do you need a f-19 in the game? where are you going to use that? Stealth Bomber? Altis is huge but not that huge where that would really be useful. I understand where you guys are coming from with some stuff but some of the comments have me spinning in my seat asking "what the fuck would please you?....someone else to play the game while you watch?" Most of us bought the game in alpha for 1/3 the price so seriously if you want something in the game that isn't in there after full release......its not like we don't have the tools to put it in there......By the way BIS....Im gunna need those first aid modules.......

There has been a lot of talk within the community about the release package and assets perceived as missing, most notably more fixed-wing aircraft. We are planning to release more content in patches, besides the campaign itself.

There is also a link to a blog post in there which is helpful as well.

A lot of you should take some time out to read that, it addresses a lot of the issues you all seem to have.

If I were moderating this forum, I'd be turning all the threads into one whinging megathread so that those of us enjoying the game can give constructive feedback without having to filter through a million threads with no content or intelligent discussion. This thread isn't much better, especially with such a ranty OP.

I think BIS will bring us more handsome stuff by DLC, that's the way to survive in the market, like EA did for BF3, even ED use such way to explore markets, they sell every module, a Huey or Mi-8 module could sell at 48 USD, is it dear, isn't it?

I personally support BIS's strategy, cause I expect ARMA series could long live, so that I can play ARMA10 at my 70 ages.....

They have consistently supplied content free of charge, as well as paid DLCs, I see no reason why ARMA III will be any different, stop panicking.

TBH I'm happy with what we have but in the knowledge that BIS are working on additional FREE content which they'll release later on. Thats fine and that basically states 'we haven't finished the game fully but here's what we have, which you can play NOW rather than in 12 months, and we'll release stuff as we finish it' - I'm cool with that because I'd rather have something 90% finished to play with than wait another 12 months for something 97% finished. 'bird in the hand is worth two in the bush'...not exactly but you know what I mean.

I'm fine with just about everything so far. Disappointed that the NATO fixed-wing vehicle didn't make it in time for the 12th, but I look at it more from the long term perspective. So I don't know why you're asking what will make me happy, because I'm pointing out behavior that I predict we'll see in others.

If let me choose, I'd prefer to more stuff on ground rather than the air. If I want to play fixed-wings, I would play FC3 or A-10C, the jets in ArmA series are basically a placeholder, no aerodynamic, no avionics, no FC, and the terrain is rather small for a jet flight. So I'd rather BIS produce more infantry related stuff or vehicles.

There's a sizable community in the Arma series that are in it for the flying in a combined arms environment. The game might not be as good as a flight sim, but you can't get that ground/air combat interaction like you can in Arma. The developers know that and cater to that. That's not going to change.

Totally agree. ARMA is one of those few games where you can actually apply proper combined ops (infantry, naval, air, etc) on a stable platform using not-so-dumbed-down weaponry/vehicles like in BF3.

Im glad to see other people out there that agree. Seriously though there are some stuff that is missing and should be added for free. Which will likely happen. Second there is some unacceptable things like the boats....for real BIS....like make them different, idk like make the CSAT ones more low profile or something. The Humvee's are fine I really dont mind that as much and the tanks are all shaping up to look the same anyway. The attack heli for CSAT has always looked retarded compared to the nato one. But Ive been shot down more then once by a friend in it so its not useless. First aid modules I would like compared to what we have now (play on easy and you can lay on a grenade and you'll be fine to get up and walk (bullshit)) and yeah more "stuff" but im not looking for 100 planes 300 tanks and 500 cars. Thats just retarded and im not submitting that much space on my hard drive to that when there still porn out there I havent watched (JK but you know what im saying.). Compare Arma to any other shooter out there and Arma wins every time. We should be happy on what we even have now, Idk how many people out there have tried playing arma III for 202 hours then try to go back to arma II....Ill tell you its impossible.

I think a lot of people lose their inhibitions on expressing desires about ArmA. They want everything and don't self-inhibit. Personally I don't care if A3 releases with 1 gun, 1 solider, and 1 truck. It's 100% about engine improvements. The mod community will produce all the actual content that anyone needs in 6 months. There is a nervousness about things missing a few days from release just as you would be worried about a building nearing the completion date when it's half done.

I personally don't care much, about all the moaners, since the forums turned in completly bs, because of them, and i know, i'll be more safe in read dev branch changelog, and addons/usermission threads. Anywhere else you see: i'm dissapoined, bis are retarted, sci-fi settings are bs. etc etc. And if one of thus threads, gets abandoned, someone always have to create a similar one like: "do you think, that sci-fi setting is bullshit?" "Or, do yout think bis are retarded?" When the game is going to be good?

A lot of the bitching people here including myself are Arma fans who've played it for years and are disappointed because so far this game is a big let down for them for various reasons, and every day they find out something else about it that they don't like.

The sad thing is it probably could have all been avoided if they actually decided to invest more in it and hire more people to help them do more and to a higher standard in the 3+ years they've been developing this game for. And don't think that they can't afford to do that.

Also some of the arguments I've seen defending the game on here have been the funniest out of all the positive and negative things I've read so far (especially things like it's more balanced now because blufor and opfor have an equal arsenal (because some of their vehicles are identical)), but yours is probably the funniest yet.
