How to run fp on windows xp?

Recommended Posts

I have Windows XP and Flashpoint will not load.

Are there any drivers that I need to install to make it work?

If so, could you please post the link here.

Thanks, KDog-

Opf runs fine on XP.

As you haven't listed any kind of system specs that's about the best answer you can expect other than the usual "make sure you have the latest drivers/bios"........

The question is for a friend, he's not on the internet.

He also tried to load Sub Command and isn't working. It's a brand new computer, so I don't know what's going on.

Oh yes I've heard this, for a "friend" line before tounge.gif

Hmm well if he's not on the net it would be hard for him to get the latest XP updates from MS.

Just because it's a new computer doesn't mean he has the latest drivers, odds are the ones he has may be anything up to a few months old, can you identify his hardware and download the latest drivers/bios and put them on disk for him or something?

With him not being on the net it'll be a smidge hard for him to read Avon's FAQ, most answers are in there though.

That's what I wanted to do, and I thought maybe Flashpoint had drivers for XP...?

"the latest drivers for XP", I'm pretty new with computers and I dont know anything, but I was guessing. On the Flashpoint box (when you buy it) it shows systems requirements, and I thought maybe there was a problem running XP without new updates or drivers. See what I was thinking? lol

ok, anyway's thanks for the response. KDog-

Your not understanding what drivers mean.

Drivers basically exploit the funcionality of a piece of hardware and make it work on an operating system. In layman's terms - Makes hardware work

Games don't have drivers
