Massi - what's happened to the vehicles for your African pack..

I loaded up an older ALiVE mission ans spotted that it wasn't able to find "O_mas_afr_ZSU_F"

I checked and I'm running

@african_conflict

@mas_nato_rus_sf_veh

@nato_russian_sf_weapons

But there is no Armour config at all ?

Even if I manually try and place one down in the editor there are no Vehicles configed.

Well that's a shame. We can't do that using a repo setup via PW6.

It has to be all ready to go in the mod from DL or I know from experience people just cannot get it to work on our servers

Bugger - what other african options are there now ?

or you can make a version with optional vehicles config already in the addon folder as I did for steam workshop:

It's a good idea Massi, thanks.

We're stuck with PW6 as a platform though at the moment.

There is work being done on a custom repo based option - that would also fix this of course.

Thanks again :-) I'll use other vehicles for the time being.

Is it just me, or are these units not working in the eden editor?

they're working but the units are under base class category (men, special forces, ect...)

Oh, thanks.

ETA:   I just checked in the Eden editor, and I couldn't find the African rebels, or the UN.

Can they be put back into their own category in your next update?

Hi massi,

I can't seem to find the Armed African Civilians in the Eden Editor. Am I just being dumb? Even using the search doesn't show anything.

Running latest ACE3, CBA and just your mods (Nato Vehicles, Nato Weapons, African, Altis, Mid East, Chernarus Units)

This may well because Massi hasn't released an update for Eden. The Eden changed a number of elements which has meant addon makers have to update their work.

I've recently found out that the reason the units were not showing up for me was that I somehow ended up with a space between the @ and African Conflict in the parameters in my launcher, so the mod was not being launched.

Once I corrected this, the mod worked in the Eden Editor.

Massi, Sorry, the problem was on my end.

Hi Massi,

I have been using this mod (with weapons & vehicles) in conjunction with the ALIVE mod using the regular units and everything is working fine.  I then switched over to the HD versions and ALIVE started throwing up these errors anytime it tried to created a road block.

0:50:54 Error in expression <selectRandom;
_vehicle = createVehicle [_vehtype, [position _roadpos, 10,30,2,0,>
0:50:54   Error position: <_vehtype, [position _roadpos, 10,30,2,0,>
0:50:54   Error Undefined variable in expression: _vehtype
0:50:55 File x\alive\addons\civ_placement\fnc_createRoadblock.sqf, line 122
0:50:55 Error in expression <selectRandom;
_vehicle = createVehicle [_vehtype, [position _roadpos, 10,30,2,0,>
0:50:55   Error position: <_vehtype, [position _roadpos, 10,30,2,0,>
0:50:55   Error Undefined variable in expression: _vehtype
0:50:55 File x\alive\addons\civ_placement\fnc_createRoadblock.sqf, line 122
0:50:55 Error in expression <) call BIS_fnc_selectRandom;
_vehicle = createVehicle [_vehtype, [position _road>
0:50:55   Error position: <createVehicle [_vehtype, [position _road>
0:50:55   Error Type Any, expected String
0:50:55 File x\alive\addons\civ_placement\fnc_createRoadblock.sqf, line 122

It seems all the non HD versions work fine but the HD ones throw the error and no roadblock is placed.

Hey Massi,

Love your stuff man.

I had a quick question/request for this pack.

Could you possibly add a Muslim-based African faction in the future? With Turbans, etc.? Something along the lines of Boko Haram?  I think it would add a nice, unique faction for ops.
