Hi all,

After a while I’m releasing a big update for my African Conflict mod. In this update I’ve added a lot of new stuff like ported A2 uniforms, new helmets, headgear, vests, backpacks, new camouflages.

There’re also new  â€™80 style South African and Rhodesian forces to represent Bush-wars, and for each faction I made an extra High dispersion faction with units equipped with high dispersion weapons to simulate longer firefights and low trained units.

All other info in the following changelog.

Friend! I am wanting to use these units in the EOS system, but he does not accept the system of classnames, and only for groups.

For example the OPFOR:

_InfantryPool = ["OIA_InfSquad_Weapons","OIA_InfSquad"];

_diverPool = ["OI_diverTeam"];

_enemyFaction = "East";

_enemyFactionVehicle = East;

_enemyTeam = "OPF_F";

How would I do that using African units?

I have to agree with Geoffry - I can see squads in the editor but don't have their classnames which I need for EOS. Can we get that list please?

Hey Massi,

do you ever stop working on mods and take time to play the game at all?? :)

You are certainly prolific Massi. These are great units and your weapons pack is excellent too. I put Takistani heads and Hidden Identity shemaghs and balaclavas on the rebels, they make good Middle Eastern rebels too.

AFRICAN CONFLICT for ARMA3 v1.0

Hi all,

This is the updated version of my African conflict mod, that has benn update in order to get full compatibility with final A3 release and latest NATO SF\Spetsnaz weapons pack.

There are a lot of changes from previous release, and I’d say I’m quite happy about the improvements , for example now UN security forces are a BLU standalone factions wich their own retextured vehicles that includes P-30 orca (armed and unarmed), offroads(armed and unarmed), trucks, static weapons, striders and marshall APC, plus boats, quad and their own Special forces trainers, PMC PSD team and UN observer.

Also Governatives and Rebels forces got new retextured vehicles like trucks, offroads(armed and unarmed), quad and light boats, and civilians have their own trucks and offroads too.

There’s been also some changes in loadouts, textures and models, for example I’ve added long pants version of civilian to improve variety and changed short pant model to long pants model fot the Rebels armed civilian.

All other changes have been isted in the changelog\readme.

Hope you’ll enjoy the new version ;) !

CREDITS !!!

For the Units:

Johannes: most part of the headgears has been taken, modified and adapted from Jonny's US Army Special Forces template by Johannes , thanks a lot for releasing them to the pubblic, without them I wouldn't have been able to add this headgear to the units !

Kiory: thank you very much for letting me use and modify your great balaclavas and berets models for the units!

For the Weapons:

Vilas: the weapons are mostly Vilas MLODS modified and ported to A3 with his permission, credits for most part of weapons models go to him thanks a lot because I wouldn't have been able to create realistic weapons for the units without your great models!

BI: for releasing the A1 sample models , from which I have taken the rest of the weapons models ported to A3, thanks for the same reason above!

Alwarren: thanks a lot for making me able to port Vilas and A1 weapons to A3 , your constant help was essential to have the weapons working in game!

Zach Gibsons: thanks a lot for making Arma 3 weapons Tutorial, without your great tutorial I wouldn't have been able to port the weapons in game.

ToadBall: thanks a lot for making Arma 3 ready M16, that was fundamental to get the weapons in game!

Kaelies: for PSO reticles textures.

Thanks a lot to BI for their great Arma!

Thanks to all Arma community for great support !

I am not really a fan of retexturations usually.

But I have to admit that units are very successful, it's a good work.

Thank you Massi!

Arma3 has potential, but fighting those scifi-iranian superspaceshipsoldiers breaks the game for me somehow... and that's where your great mods comes along! Brings back the real life-feeling for me. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Massi,

You are my hero...

Finally a decent OPFOR with light vehicles that you can actually shot at.

The light vehicles in ArmA3 apart from the armed off-road are a joke they are indestructible to infantry without AT and they are no match to any armored vehicle so they are more or less useless in terms of

using them in game.

Great work Massi. Finally some rebels with Para-military clothes and eastern block weapons.

If you ever will find the time it will be great to see some Arab militants like the Afghan one.

Cheers,

Shay_gman

Hello,

Looks like a great MOD. I need to ask question which is very easy to answer if you know the answer. I understand how to install the mod in the right place, with the correct mods and other bits that are needed. I have activated the mod in the game BUT, what do I actually type in steam game properties to get the mod to run. I have read the above post loads of time but I just cannot figure it out. Any pointers and help appreciated in advance.

Cheers

Ian

Hi,

Yeah I think the same...I'll add them as soon as BI will release female models (also with african faces hopefully) ;)

Hi,

This is a quick fix for a DEDICATED SERVER issue taht few users reported using the units, to install this update, just copy

the config files of the addon (that you have already installed) and paste them in the modfolder where the addon is actually located,

REPLACING the old configs with the new ones.

NOTE: I'm posting this on all my units thread, but you only need to download it once since the fix already includes all the

config files for all my units pack, just install the ones you need.

Thanks to Shadow for reporting the issue and testing the fix.
