Cant install GOTY edition on Windows 7 64 bit

I have Operation Flashpoint game of the year edition and every time I finish installing the game it says "setup encountered an error. Application may not work properly." and then the game doesnt work. I even installed the game on another computer and shared all the files and it wouldnt start that because of cd key issues. any solutions?

running windows 7 64bit with up to date hardware and drivers

Are you running the installer as administrator?

yeah and i tried running the installer in compatibility mode

i mean im installing from discs. setup runs fine then about a minute after i put in the third disc it comes up with that message, and then all the files on my computer relating to the installation are deleted putting me at square one

So it seems that some files from the disks are corrupted.

I ran into this a long time ago with another game, and what I did was copy all of the cd's to the hard drive and install from there. Not sure if this will work, but it's worth a try.

I am having the same problem the game has always installed fine till now.

Download and install this (it's the full version with Res slightly updated) just use your CD key for the install, worked fine for me on Win 7 64bit.
