Cannot launch Arma 3- Help please

Hi, I've had Arma 3 for some time now, but recently it has been unable to launch. It gives me this message:

File C:\Users\Maks\Documents\Arma 3\Maks.Arma3Profile, line 1:'.h': 't' encountered instead of '='

It seems like bad coding or something, but I have no clue how to fix this. If anyone can, please tell me how to fix it.

1. I bought Arma 3 a few days after the Alpha came out.

3. Not too long after the Beta came out, maybe 6 weeks or so.

I must be doing something wrong, every time I delete it, it comes right back. I am right clicking that folder in the C: drive and clicking delete. Am I doing it wrong?

make sure your CFG file has these settings only and delete the rest. remove launch options from your game including steam parameter.

Okay, I fixed the settings in that file and removed launch options from the game. I am not sure how to remove steam parameter.

I tried it after fixing the .cfg file and it still doesn't work. But, I don't know how to remove the steam parameter that you suggested. Can you tell me how to do that?

in steam, right click your "Arma 3 Beta" and click properties

in the General tab, you'll find "set launch options"

remove any parameters and see if that fixes your problem after clearing CFG.

I deleted everything in "set launch options" and changed CFG to what you said above and I'm still getting the same error. What else can I try?

ok i'm running out of ideas

my last solution is to go

"C:\Users\yourname\Documents" and delete your arma 3 folder

then go to

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\ and delete your arma3 folder

I'm suspicious... (Beta only been out 4 weeks?).

Can't you just re-download the game from Steam?

Thank you! It finally works and if the beta has only been out for 4 weeks than it must of happened a few days after the beta came out. See ya'll on Arma 3.
