dulix11 10 Posted July 5, 2013 OK, to start off, hello everyone. I'm new here so if this is in the wrong place or something like that, forgive me. My internet, sucks. Its slow and I only have 3GB. So I downloaded ArmA 3 at a friends place, however the download stopped at 99%. I figured there would only be a couple of hundred MBs to go so I dug through the Steam files and found the folder and put it on a harddrive. I took it home and put the folder into Steamapps > Common on my desktop. I tried to install it through Steam, but it doesn't work. It starts downloading from the start. I put the folder into my Steamapps > Downloading folder, and still, no change. When I try to run the executabelf from the folder it comes up with this error: 'The version of this file is not compatible with the version of windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) version of the program, and then contact the software publisher.' My computer specs: Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit Intel Core i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz ASRock Z77M 8GB RAM 1TB HDD Nvidia GTX 650 1GB Obviously it needs to finish installing, but it won't let me. It only wants to downloading from scratch. Please help! PS. I know that installing games using this method works because I had previously done the exact same thing with GTA IV and System Shock 2. dulix11 10 Posted July 5, 2013 ^^^ That'd be it. So if I download it on a 64bit computer, will it update correctly and the executable work?
