exerminator2000 10 Posted June 26, 2013 (edited) Ok so i made the mistake of buying the game on steam, which is total crap because i cant play online and its an out of date version, is it possible to get it in a non steam version, or is their any way to fix it? because i want to play dayz, but ill ask that on the dayz forums. also i bought the supporter version why dont i have a label? and i get an error message that says "Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_CommunityConfigurationProject_E" what does that mean? and its windows 7 64bit if that matters Edited June 26, 2013 by exerminator2000 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

tonygrunt 10 Posted June 26, 2013 Steam and retail versions of Arma2 and Arma2OA are exactly the same files and there is only slight changes in the way they are launched. What your problem is that the addon (DayZ) that you want to run requires a beta version of the game. Haven't used the steam version of beta updates but I guess you should install and run the Arma2: Operation Arrowhead Beta link on steam. Manual installation of betas are at http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php. You can also use 3rd party launcher/tools to keep updated like Play withSIX or DayZ Commander.
