RadeonHawk68 10 Posted June 12, 2013 I was wondering if this problem has happen to anyone? My old headphones were working fine there was no problems but they were old and died, so bought a set of PDP Afterglow Wireless headsets and when I play I have no player gun shot sound. I can hear AI shots and enemy shot, my foot steps everything but the my player gun sound. Please Help!!!
roy86 367 Posted June 12, 2013 I have the same issue. I logged a bug report but it is difficult to replicate so it was closed. Workaround is to not set your headset as the default playback device, rather set it to you motherboard default audio output in the sound control by right clicking on your volume icon in the task bar and selecting playback devices. Plug the audio jack on the afterglow usb dongle into your default sound output on the motherboard. Finally on the headset adjust on the lower wheel called "chat" until you hear your shots. RadeonHawk68 10 Posted June 13, 2013 So don't use the mic and usb inputs headers on the top of case, instead use the motherboard audio input on back of case.
roy86 367 Posted June 13, 2013 Up to you. It depends what you configure as your playback device in the sound settings. I use the Audio Outputs on the rear of the motherboard for the playback device and use the afterglow USB dongle as the capture device.
RadeonHawk68 10 Posted June 13, 2013 Ok I'm ranning a 2.1 system thoght the green input on the back of my motherboard and video through a HDMI cable hooked too my graphics card. I was ranning the afterglows on the header port on the case, so who would I configure it to were I get correct audio(the gun shot) in the headphones?
roy86 367 Posted June 13, 2013 Test it in the Green output and see if it works. If it does, then try it in the headphone output on your case. If not, then i'm out of ideas. I use a gigabyte motherboard which comes with Realtek Audio manager. It allows me to assign the audio stream to various output ports. Not sure of what you have but that and changing the "chat" on the headphones is all i did to get it working.
