Harnu 0 Posted July 29, 2002 I guess my biggest regrets come from being such a wimp in grammar and middle school. I was always one of the losers and getting made fun of. But in the end it's been working out well for me. Now I'm a sophmore and am exacting my revenge. And the biggest mistake I ever made was being shy and stupid for not trying to be better freinds with this one girl. It's the biggest mistake I made not to do that. Harnu 0 Posted July 29, 2002 A Sophmore. 2nd year in high school. Anyway, cmon. Lets hear some regrets.
dayglow 2 Posted July 29, 2002 I regret nothing Seriously, I'm who I am today through the experiences in my life. If I change anything, I would no longer be who I am...if this makes any sense. COLINMAN

Warin 0 Posted July 29, 2002 I agree with Dayglow... to some extent. The person I am is a direct result of my experiences...and I actually like who I am. But I do have one regret. I regret that I didnt see until too late that my ex wife was having issues, when she was still my wife. Not because I miss her, as much as if I had, I might be with my son every day..not just once a week.

Tovarish 0 Posted July 29, 2002 I'm saying that no matter how well off we are, we will always ask ourselves "what if...if I had done this instead of that...would I have ended up better off?" It's our sense of ambition, part of our human nature

dayglow 2 Posted July 29, 2002 I don't think that asking 'what if' is all that productive, especially if you are talking about the past. I've seen too many people that dwell on the past and never regain 'life' as it were because of it. Yes I've done some stupid things and yes sometimes I wonder 'what if' but I refuse to dwell on it. I'd rather look in the future and say 'what if' and see if it's something that I want. From personal experience: I played basketball at university and I tore my ACL which ended my career. I can 'what if' the past all I want, but instead I reconize that my overcoming that injury has made me the person that I am today. I don't want to know what person I would be if it didn't happen, because I would never be that person. Instead I look at new challanges in my life and know that I have the drive to overcome because of my past experience. My life? No I wouldn't change a thing. Harnu 0 Posted July 29, 2002 Dayglow, thats also what I mean. Using what if to mold the future. Like if you are working on something, and say "what if I do this" or "what if I do that". It's not just the past that what if is used.
dayglow 2 Posted July 29, 2002 But if you are talking about the future, then it isn't a regret is it? COLINMAN
