How to set a RCON password? beserver.cfg - did not work

Recommended Posts

Hello

I have a problem with my RCON password. beserver.cfg file does not work.

I tried to reset, change, the file still does not work.

My BattlEye files:

BEClient.dll

beserver.cfg

BEServer.dll

My beserver.cfg:

RConPassword password

MaxPing 250

Any solution how to set rcon password?

Regards

You need to specify the Battleye folder path when started your dedicated server, this should also be in your start-up line

"-bepath=C:\Some folder\BattlEye"

http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/BattlEye

BattlEye working directory

The BattlEye working directory is a folder in one of three places:

A folder named BattlEye within the ArmA II application data folder

A folder named BattlEye in the path given by the -profiles startup parameter

In a folder given by the -bepath startup parameter

! NOTE: Even with custom locations you will still need the BattlEye .dll's or .so's ALSO in the default location ("<arma2>\BattlEye" for A2 or "<arma2>\Expansion\BattlEye" for OA/CO) for BattlEye to start.

So helping a person setup a server, i have the commandline right, have -profiles=sc in commandline, it creates the Battleye folder with beserver.dll, it shows in the console that battleye works

but the server does not pick up on the beserver.cfg that i created.

and when I test to connect to the rcon it will not connect, ports are forwarded. and people can connect fine to the server to play. Just appears to be battleye.

Any idea what this could be?

For 64 bit create file as beserver_x64.cfg

Sorry to "jump in" here.

We are a bunch of friend that we are playing Arma II: Dayz mod (also called  vanilla mod).  We are playing in a server that, after like a week or so, we learnt it was not going to be paid anymore.  So... we decided to take care of the server payment (it is a GTA server)

I just installed the DarT and was about to use the other (new in gaming admin....) but it tells me that I need to set the correct pass in beserver.cfg.

I dont have any of what you were mention previously.

I am playing from Steam so, I guess that the files are in there.

The other thing that come to my mind: the original owner of the server should give me all the files, right?... because I do not have BE installed in my computer.

Yeah, I know... I am a totally lost about gaming but any help and/or direction will be more than welcome
