Eggbeasts cockpit loadout selection script

here's a little script I'm working on for arma2 and 3 aircraft to have armoury loadouts manually selectable from the cockpit, while stationary in the friendly airbase.

Two missions included:

simple script only version +

demo mission with full range of qualifying planes and helis spawning based on parameters you choose

This contains the airbase spawner that brings in suitable planes/helis for each mod you are running and repairs/refuels them on runway

choose quick-rearm to disable the 60s time delay on rearming (Delay added for gamebalance, but useful to turn off if you're just having a browse)

v11 includes

- support for the forthcoming F105 Thunderchief (E and F) by hcpookie (will be released in in unsung 2.6) - only for uns_missilebox

- support for the F22 (CAP version) - works with stock, GLT, PRACS, RKSL and EB_missilebox air weapons - 6-7 combat roles for each set.

it's pretty simple, and allows you to choose for a range of standard mission functions for every aircraft type

Inclusions:

Airfield and LHD

Test player and chums can click on map and teleport to planes etc

Custom sound, icons and wait time for rearming, aborts if you exit or move aircraft

Big thanks to Dwarden for including here his anti-fire-in-the-sky new effects system for use with scripted in air units

Full set of stock or modded aircraft provided, and rearmed depending on which parameter you choose

- Stock - adds new loadouts to all attack planes and heliciopters - now includes all Opfor vehicles.

- EB_AIR parameter - WIP lots of tweaks when using EB_Air and EB_missilebox mod - requires some unreleased FRL_missilebox content to look at its best but it still works fine - but treat some models as WIP for now

- RKSL air weapons parameter - if you run this mod you can choose this in parameters and then load up Rock's awesome RKSL arsenal onto your aircraft. Fully compatible with his new Opfor missilebox

- PRACS air weapons parameter - if you run this mod you can choose this in parameters and then load up wld427's awesome PRACS arsenal onto your aircraft.

- Unsung weapons - WIP you need the forthcoming unsung 2.6 patch for this to work, so don't use it yet!

- RKSL weapons including Opfor versions (e.g. Rocks new R27's on stock Su34 etc)

- PRACS aircraft weapons and PRACS aircraft (F16, F15, Etendard, Mirage, A4, Mohawk, etc) (stock opfor not complete)

The functions included (and the logic for them) are as follows:

mission function: support other aircraft/armour with umbrella anti- air protection
stock: typically up to 8 sidewinders and a large amount of cannon
Lesser craft like the An-2, AH-6, Wildcat and L39 have stingers
Apaches have 4 ASRAAM and 2 AMRAAM, or 8 ASRAAM, depending on the model (4 apaches to choose from)
Cobras have 10 ASRAAM missiles (2 extra on wingtip) and a M168 vulcan AA cannon (spreads like a sawn-off!)

With what tool can i unpack the PBO ? PBO Viewer and cPBO don't work.

Or can you upload an unpacked mission with the scripts ???

yeah you just need to make a trigger around your LHD named LHDin and connect it in mainthreadc - where it says _inrepairzone = (_vec in list airportin)

add

OR (_vec inlist LHDin)

and change the next check down to include this zone too. i might make it easier to add and take away zones from an init array.

sorry mate i have some problem with pboprefix that's confusing me - some people can unpbo stuff and others can't

i'll work on a working pboprefix for the next release

yeah it will have in all of the modded planeswe play with - mainly the ones built by GLT, RKT, RKSL, PRACS, Gnat, etc but also mig15, and sav's unsung planes.

you can also easily expand the planes/choppers you wish to include/exclude in the init

i'm building a universal Evolution mission that you just choose your mods in the parameters section, and this will be part of that, but i thought it might be a good idea to build it separately as a mission script suite for others to use.

sorry it won't be ACE'd by me as i won't install it, but if someone sensible volunteers to do the conversion, i'll happily include it.

i'm aiming to release an update today with RKSL weapons as a parameter.

default is set to RKSL for testing

seems to be working pretty well with RKSL airweapons and stock weapons.

will add in GLT tomorrow then PRACS

have built this into my stock Evolution mission for future use in Arma 3 as well

BTW. Still seem to have problems unpbo'ing it. Is it maybe possible to include an open template variant (unpbo'ed) in the next release? Would make it less difficult to implement in missions for those of us that are absolute noobs when it comes to scripts etc...

today i made a standardised airport and LHD which spawns in planes and helis and AA defences on markers depending on what mod you are running, and then the loadout script kicks in for each aircraft with the right missiles loaded.

the automatic airbase has markers only in the mission (enables multiple mods to work with same mission - so you could spawn in vietnam era planes for unsung or russian planes for an east mission or arma3 planes in arma3, etc) the azimuth (direction) of the little helipad in the hangar determines the directions of the planes and hangars spawned. the little orange crossed squares are quad helipads with hesco protection. the little curved sandbags are AA pods, which are populated according to mod (vietnam = quad50, PRACS = SAM launchers, BAF = stinger pod, ACR = RBS90, etc)

It works for RKSL missiles and RKSL typhoons - that was the test rig i used. so now you only need 1 RKSL typhoon on your map, and 7 different roles are available for this aircraft using the loadout script. I worked through Rock's detailed readme on the pylons and proxies today so the typhoons work perfectly now.
