PTV-Jobo 820 Posted September 4, 2014 Popularmilitary.com's article: New Army/Marine helmet less protective http://popularmilitary.com/new-armymarine-helmet-less-protective/ Bit of an interesting lil' article.
theevancat 277 Posted September 4, 2014 But muh future: Although seriously they do look pretty cool, which is why I put them in my mod. And I suppose that's what it's there for: when BI doesn't want to take a direction and that's fine with me.
ninjademon05 14 Posted February 24, 2016 Even if the mask(s) in question had absolutely NO protection value (basically worked like a pair of glasses), I still think this would be a great cosmetic to have in-game. Just like Hidden Identity V3s gas masks. No real importance, just cosmetic. But they still look kick-ass, and the Ravage Mod actually gives the masks the same effects as wearing goggles. drebin052 323 Posted February 24, 2016 1.54 already allows for properly separated head/face protection values since you can define a hit point for face armour in the helmet's config. In fact, the vanilla F-35 HMCS and HGU-56 helmets already use this system (even though realistically the visors and the face shields on them shouldn't provide any armour protection at all).
