Placing down a Hunter HMG or GMG and pressing "w" for Forward works fine.

Not for me, nothing happens. I can't get AI to move at all, they just jerk the steering wheel left and right, or do nothing at all.

Send from my tablet, so pardon any autocorrect bollocks

I mentioned it in the AI thread also, that tanks currently cannot be commanded ( W,A,S,D) and the UI disappears when turned out.

Is anyone able to look at his GPS while driving an armoured vehicle in first person?

please debug this spam in the client RPT. Only occurs when PBO exported to MP with EDEN. Causes serious stuttering/frame drop and client RPT file grows at kb/s rate.

It is only possible to read the GPS or compass after you have turned out of the vehicle. Why? I don't really know.

Why? I don't really know.

Because Tank view is counted as an "optic" technically - and you can't use optic together with gps/compass/clock

Can we expect to see further optimization of Tanoa before the APEX or is this something you plan to do after the release?

Anyone having a strange performance issue on Tanoa? I am maintaining 55-60 fps at most times, but when in jungle, if the tree canopy closes overhead my fps goes to 30 and stay locked to 30. Even turning around where the sky is visible again will put it back to 60, and there is no in between fluctuations. It goes straight to 30 and stays there so long as thick trees are overhead.Very strange..

Not here. 30/60 switch, isn't that just a VSync thing? I once experienced some delay (click->shoot IIRC) when I used VSync and since then I'm simply capping FPS at 60 (with NVidia Inspector) and don't use VSync.

Kinda late by several months now, but ever since the Eden update I've been having problems with AI both completely disregarding triggers and syncs and continuing on with their waypoints, as well as units not proceeding to the next waypoint after a trigger or sync has been fulfilled. This has been with both main and DEV branch, anyone else having similar issues?

If you're like me, you are expecting the 'Set Waypoint Activation' to work when synced to a trigger regardless of waypoint type. Couldn't be easier, right?

But no, you must go a step further and for some waypoint types (sentry/cycle etc) the Trigger Type must also be set to 'Skip Waypoint'.

It would be nice if the 'Skip Waypoint' type could be depreciated and the trigger automatically identifies the correct action (i.e. either activate or skip the waypoint depending on type), if possible.

Exactly. Unless adaptive vsync is used (only max cap at 60, no cap below that).

"That's in an annoying spot!",

"WTF? Now you don't need a compass!"

"REALISM!!!"

Just getting some of those out the way.

"That's in an annoying spot!",

I guess you can tweak it like any other HUD element so no need to read crying about that :P

//Well you were right even when it can be tweaked hahah...

That does need to be lower.   Why not just integrate STHud as it is instead of trying to make a replica, it works amazing.  Why reinvent it? :)

No worries you will probably be able to remove it from the UI so just take is easy :D

Then just move it lower. :D

And what's the new left shift+T? "Tactical ping"? You can point things with it?

I think you should attach it to the end of the command bar.

Better yet allow user configure to position where we like.

here is the one I designed for our servers.

Used the design from your BIS_fnc_groupIndicator but made it all work properly

...furthermore, what is that strange dot when one pressed "J" ?

Some very weird things are happening,  mostly in a good way ;)

Edit: How does the group indicator works? I can't get it to s how up

That's not a new thing actually.

But I don't get what's point of it when J is bound to task overview?

edit. wait. Can you select the active task by pointing at it with the dot?

edit edit. Yes you can. That's neat. Never noticed that.

Check your difficulty settings and make sure you're in a group. :)

I can't see a toggle key. I hope I will later.

Seems like license plates were fixed for vehicles spawned in Eden, still doesn't work for createVehicle sadly.

Thanks

I have to say I actually like the implemention, though I'd like to see 2 tweaks:

  1. In my opinion the radar should be at the very top of the screen in the center, same position as the vehicle radar. For me, that's the only place where it's not distracting.
  2. When the compass or any other GUI element is opened, the radar should be hidden temporily
  3. It should be hidden when the group is empty
  4. (Nice to have) Make it toggleable

1.  Total opposite for me.  Flicking my eyes downward is much more comfortable than looking up at the top of the screen.  Then again I've been using STHud for years, so am used to it there.

2.  How come?  (Still at work, haven't had a chance to try it yet)

3.  STHud does this.  I get lost since I forget to use my real compass!

4.  Sure, more options are always nice.

I'm pretty sure posture and glasses contributes to my wanting more things at the bottom of the screen. :)
