Have you tried a tank touching a side-flipped tank? Would make for some decent laughs.

 

Speaking of armored vehicle driving realism, calling PhysX 'outdated' or 'not fit for tracked vehicles' is no excuse for improving configuration, adding more logic to it, so it becomes more flexible.

 

Speaking of BIS' intentions for the future, as seen from the island of their choice - Tanoa - armored vehicles won't get more attention until 2017 or so.

Can we get the option to use hiddenselectionstextures on the "g_lowprofile" goggles to re-texture. I tried back in 2014 and just today, hoping that It was updated but no It's not. Pretty please with a big fat cherry on top!

 

EDIT:     sent a pm to locklear and he said he'll get it done in main branch update 1.54.

The image hosting website you uploaded your image to is full of malicious popups that designed to lock the browser. I have reported this to moderators as well. Have a nice day in my ignore list too.

Works OK for me. Tested on my work PC as I didn't want to risk it at home of course ;)

Link worked just fine. I got one pop up for a casino but that is quite normal on free hosting sites.

Really? You are going to defend some shoddy website that on the first try to view the image locked my browser with infinite loop "you have a virus pay us to remove it" page, and on second and third try sent me to the porn site? Even free image hosting sites running off ads could be decent, there is no excuse to post a link to a dodgy one on public forums like this. However, since mods did nothing about it, this low standard seems to be norm I presume. Enjoy then.

Not defending, just wondering what you were on about..

Maybe you should consider using for example ad-blocking plug-ins in your browser(s) or something, otherwise using the interwebs is like going on whores bareback..

Checked with IT on the link, it seems ok without virus or threat from our test.

 

However, it is suggested that users use well known established sites that are considered safe.

Suggest imgur, flickr or other similar sites.

Tweaked: Substantially increased damage but also decreased effective firing range of 80mm and 60mm unguided rockets (MLRS and Kajman)

 

 

This doesn't make much sense, the MLRS is using 130mm rockets if I am not mistaking.

Tried to overwrite values for EngineOff in cfgActions today and for some reason couldn't overwrite the "show" value. Other actions had no problems with overwrites but EngineOff just kept reseting to show = 1. Any ideads what I'm doing wrong?

The code I used.

Is there any remote chance for the new firing limit technology to spill over to regular vehicle turrets? Because right now, it's difficult to handle proper firing arcs for vehicle turrets - for example for the Kuma/Leopard 2. The rear blocks the negative elevation of the gun in reallife, but in Arma you can't do such limitations - either you reduce the total field of movement to the smallest possible, or you have to live with barrels sticking through bodies. In case of the Kuma it's not such a big issue, but for other vehicles, like warships for example, this can be more problematic.

Or is this a case of the tech has been 'activated' on dev but the implementation has not?

 

Edit: Ok, my apologies, so I now see the Huron and Mohawk appear to have custom boxes, but the Wildcats still have that limited rear facing view.

Nothing, just the game and that pbo with that config. For some reason it's not working for me. Other actions disappeared except this one. I can share the pbo and the source file if that helps.

Tried again in the current stable (1.50.131969) and Engine Off action hides correctly. Here's the .pbo, if you copy it to \Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 3\Addons\ and launch the game, it should work.

Yep I assume it's kind of wip still because like you said Huron and Mohawk has been improved but for example MH-9 is more limited because you can't shoot through the rotor blades now. Though I can very well undertand why that's limited.
