Does anyone know of any systems in place for a workaround?

Just make sure you have VerifySignatures = 2; in your config :) That's it for now

and make sure no regularcheck line in the server.cfg

Just to inform you, verifysignatures is known to cause massive freezing on clients with regular hard drives. See this thread:

So unless you want to exclude everyone that does not have an SSD, I would recommend leaving that disabled until it is fixed. One way to deal with the problem is actively administering your server. Just stop your server when you are not playing on it. The problem is people who are trying to "build a community" by letting servers run without an admin are just letting their servers become a hacking and teamkilling playground when they are not there. Another alternative is to use some heavy scripting to control client behavior when you are not around.

if You use latest developer version then it has merged fixes from 1.63 OA betas which fixed this issue ...

When do you think the next stable version will be push ?

Because this point is very important and maybe need to be pushed quicker.

I can confirm that removing VerifySignatures = 2; stops the lag :) but 10 minutes later we had a scripter spawning choppers on the spawn point, killing everyone who respawned or joined the game.

Until the Dev update hits the stable version the choices are lag or script kiddies.
