NATO Special Operations Command [BETA]

Here are some pictures. All headgear works but uniforms and vests do not.

That's really weird, because it works just fine for me. Do you have all the pbos in the same folder? As in the sf_nato_config.pbo in the same folder as the sf_us_dae.pbo and sf_uk_sas.pbo and so on? Because the only way you'd get the problem you're experiencing is if you didn't have all of the pbos in the same Addons folder. The sf_nato_config.pbo file contains all of the config for the uniforms and gear, and the nation-specific pbos (sf_de_ksk, sf_fr_gign, sf_gr_1katadromon, sf_it_ilnono, sf_nato_equip, sf_nato_helm, sf_pl_grom, sf_uk_sas, sf_us_5sfg, sf_us_dae, and sf_us_sts) contain the textures. So I bet that you are missing one or more of those nation-specific pbos. If you're missing one of those, then you'd have invisible textures. So make sure you redownload the file and make sure all the pbos are in the same addons folder. If I were you, I'd just put the @NATO folder in your Documents\Arma 3 folder.

Also, if you moved the folder from Arma 3 Alpha to Arma 3, make sure you moved all the files. Let me know if this doesn't help. The addon should be compatible with the Beta.

Yeah that invisible man glitch is due to missing pbos. I had the same problem when i tried to just load GROM guys.

EDIT: I assume SCO should work fine as well testing now.

I think something changed with the weapon classnames because when I tested SCO yesterday, the Iranian weapons were missing and my Iranian SF only had their sidearms. So I've got to fix that.

I think something changed with the weapon classnames because when I tested SCO yesterday, the Iranian weapons were missing and my Iranian SF only had their sidearms. So I've got to fix that.

I don't know if this is the same thing you are talking about but when I try to use several of the Independent side units I get these messages;

No Entry bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons/E3_RU_Flora_TacticalVest.disposableWeapon

and

No Entry bin\config.bin/CfgWeapons/E3_RU_Flora_TacticalVest.SelectionFireAnim

This is in addition to the units appearing with just their side arms.

Yeah, not sure about the E3_RU_Flota_TacticalVest (should be the E3 mod and not my mod). But the Khaybar issue I am aware of for the SCO mod and I've just fixed that. I'll release the updated version today. What happened was that BIS originally named the Katiba the Khaybar, and they changed the in-game name but not the weapon classname. So with the Beta, they finally changed the classname. So I had to go in and change some classnames of the weapons and ammo.

So, yeah, it's the same issue.

Okay cool thanks for the reply I look forward to the update.

please include classnames if you don't mind with your next release. I feel bad for asking because you have done a great job to offer an excellent mod all on your own time but I do love to mix and match.

R0adki11 - if it is still relevant, I use the Beta version. Everything worked fine in the Alpha, changes to made in the Beta is where the problem began.

Its because they changed the config of the vests - just the e3 vests need to be updated to suit to change for them to appear/work.

e.g. Vest_blue would of changed to Vest_camo_blue

Hi,

I installed the new version of the mod and had a really quick look. I still got the Plate Carrier error with the PL units. Also, I don't know if this was intentional, but the Sappers only have side arms no rifles.

Do you have all of the PBOs in the same folder? You shouldn't have that problem. Also, are you running the Development version or the non-dev version? Honestly, all you have to do is put the @NATO folder in your My Documents/Arma 3 folder.

Also, not sure if you're using my units or not, because looking at your previous post, I don't have ANY Independent units. All my units are under BLUFOR and OPFOR. Your errors were with the E3 mod. So disable that mod and then see if you're still having any issues. This is weird because I don't have these problems, and I'm only using stock Beta weapons. Not sure if some of these weapons are exclusive to the Dev version or not.

The weapons the Sappers use are the Mk20 plain version with MRCO sight. Classname is arifle_Mk20_MRCO_Plain_F.

Disregard the previous posts I was confused with the NATO and the E3 mods.

All I did was drag @NATO into the Arma 3 addons completely intact and over wrote the previous @NATO folder. I didn't Delete the previous install I simply overwrote it. So I guess if there was any content in the previous folder that isn't in the new then there would be remnants of the previous version.

I am just using the regular Beta not DEV.

I will play around and see if there is another mod interfereing as well, I will completely delete the @NATO folder in Arma 3 Addons and do a clean reinstall.

Yeah, just delete the @NATO folder and put the new one there. In the editor, the groups are under BLUFOR > NATO Special Operations Command. The Sapper team is there as US Sapper team or something like that. See if they have their weapons. If not, then it might be that the Mk20 MRCO is DEV only. If that's the case, then I'll change their weapons.

Yeah, you need the Hidden Identity Pack. You can see what addons are needed by looking at the section that says Required Addons on the first page, or on Armaholic.

Did you download the latest version, as in hotfix 2? The new unit is the Sapper under US Direct Action Group. The sapper is also featured in a group under BLUFOR > NATO Special Operations Command. It's called US Sapper Team. I also changed the Greek Uniform (named 1st Katadromon in-game).
