Chernarus Wasteland eLiThor edition

Wasteland for ARMA3 is currently ported by us...

Update 1.01:

* added Mission markers, missions should work now correct

* added Gunstores for testing

* added Town definitions to match Chernarus

* defence Script 1.4 for AI (improoved behaviour)

*** THIS IS ALPHA ALPHA OF AN ALPHA *** BUGS WILL OCCURE!!! ***

Verion v1.0:

Key Features:

* Chernarus Wasteland map

* Individual Player units, West, East and Independent

* Weapon, gear, attachment, clothing loot in buildings

* Arma2/Arma3 Vehicle/Weapons (A2:OA will be included later)

* All features of 404 Wasteland

* Vehicle unflip function

Future addons:

* Custom Missions

* other features

Special Thanks to TAW_Tonic, Craig and 404 gaming.

Server will be opened once we have a semi-stable version.

Current known issues:

2 many :)

* Missions not working yet

* Some arma2 wepaons cause client to crash, need to test this in detail

*Known crash of weapons: M107

i tried to connect, but the server is lamenting about keys!

for the A2 content i used the A2toA3 script and is doent seem to work on the server because it is requesting a modkey!

nevermind i figured out how to connect (the script i used didnt remove uiFonts.pbo, wich is required to be removed by the server)!

but the game looks like this, and playermodel is bugged:

ok, as for the graphic bug: it seems to appear randomly and afer a couple of reconnects/restarts it is gone (as long as i dont change gfx settings ingame)

but the bugged playermodel skeleton remains.

Hi Fabio_Chavez,

on the images:

that seems to be a bug within the ArmA3 Alpha that happens to me to, sometimes, when i use ALT+TAB to switch to desktop and then back inGame.

Try to disconnect to the mainmenü and then reconnect. This should correct the graphical glitch, at least for me it works.

Can you post a picture of your bugged character too, please.

the skin is halfway stuck in the ground and doesnt make motions, i can move though, still bugged (cant shoot straight no freelook etc...)

Ok, i have never seen this behavior! As this is all alpha and I don't know the A2toA3 script you mentioned, I would like you to try our "porting guide" on:

With this you will get one or two messageboxes to click away, that will be corrected later, but it works so far for us.

it also happen sto me with the grafic glitch. I need to restart arma3 in order to get this fixed.

To your stuck in ground bug: You are the second guys to report this.

ok thank you i will try to doctor around with the arma2 files (before i used the script i did it manually like in the description on your webside, but with the script, you dont have to waste extra disc space because the script links straight to the arma2 directory... it works pretty good so far)

ah and maybe you want to consider allowing charnarus landtex and some of those basic CBA based hud addons like sqat radar and stance indicator?

ok i restored everything and copied the arma2 files manually exactly as described in the manual, but i still get the sekleton something error message on server join, i occasionally experienced that error on certain regular arma 3 alpha servers as well, maybe a server restart can fix

p.s.

the author of the script, adjusted it (will not copy uifonts.pbo anymore),so that it should now work with your server, it has the advantage that you dont need to copy any files manually and it will not cost 2x the discspace either.

check it out maybe you want to consider it in your tutorial, it should be helpfull.

p.s.2 someone made a GUI for the script allready but didnt work for me and i dont know why, so will not recommend but makes things even more userfriendly in theory... :)

finally got everything up and running...

wow, chernarus wasteland in arma3 is really impressive, the fps have been really low though (too many objects on the map for my CPU?), looking forward to whats coming anyway...
