blaerah 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Definitely a good thing that helos dont automatically explode. Though few things I hope gets implemented: 1) Possibility to set on fire upon crash, leading to possible explosion 2) Possibility of explosion is bigger if helo has explosive ordnance left / explosives stored in it 3) Variety of injuries and possibility of death 4) Better damaged model
GoranDU 10 Posted March 25, 2013 If heli engine stops, you can land with it with no problem (pro pilots i RL). You can find videos on YT that show how to do that. I used that to land damaged choppers in arma 2. Please, whoever started this topic and one with "jumping" not to troll.
maturin 12 Posted March 25, 2013 Of course, auto-rotating is nowhere near so automatic and easy as it is in ArmA (ACE 2 somehow contrived to make it even easier). If you are in a bad spot, don't time things right, or (this is very likely for obvious reasons) control surfaces and cables are damaged, you can and will plummet like a leaf-shaped stone and die.
