MCC Sandbox 3 - Dynamic mission creating tool for ArmA 3

<--- tester here waiting to help out (as ever, spirit and shay) :)

Thanks loyal user :)

@spirit6

I'm interested to help you testing that but it depends when it will be. But if I'm available, I'll be happy to be at party :)

In any case, speaking about your Occupy system, I've tried it with my clan mates and we found that at the moment is too much "aggressive".

I'll try to explain better.

We play in coop mode where we spawn, using MCC mission generator, a main target to achieve.

So, we go towards the target area deciding before a Landinz Zone (if it's far) or a Starting Zone from where we spread our teams to take the target.

According to this kind of approach (nothing special... :) ) we tried the occupy system and we found that too many enemies will be spawned and we finished to stay too much far from the main target zone battleing all the time with the occupy system spawned enemies (the main target was actually changed to survive to the occupy system spawned enemies :) ).

So, I found it's really great to make the feeling you're in a battle area but I think it's should be good an option where I can set how many enemies will be spawned in a pre-defined time (for example I should set to have about 8 enemies any 20 minutes, both numbers of enemies and time with a little range in addition or subtraction in random way. For example, I set 8 enemies but the system should decide to spawn 6 enemies or 10. Another way should be to have some presets going from a "low density" to "high density").

Another thing to take in account is that when the system spawn some enemies, that area should be defined as an invisible MCC zone and the next spawned enemy teams should be placed outside that zone, probably in the new one where the players moved. It should seen as "I'm going to the main target, I'm in an enemy territory with some patrol teams (few or many depending of the starting settings), I stop my team to kill them (if I see them). After killed them, the area is clear and for the next kilometers the area should be go to advance to the main target".

English is not my first language but I hope it's clear.

Yes, the current version of the occupy script is far from perfect. Most of the things you mention are indeed on the list to be tuned. But I like it interactive, so as soon as I hold a testversion and date I let you know.

Thank you for a fantastic mod! This makes mission making and SP action a whole lot more fun!
BUMP please help!
Hey, just wanted to start out by saying this mod is amazing! I have had a lot of fun with the mission generator. However, I am having an issue that I cannot seem to figure out. All of my units are simply vanishing! I create some zones, create some units for both east and west, give them to gaia, and they star moving around to their various objectives. All seems well. But then, one after another, all the units just start simply vanishing in the opposing force. just gone. And not to combat. I tried disabling all of my other mods, in case something was conflicting, but it is still doing it. sometimes it is the opposing force vanishing, and sometimes it is the friendlies vanishing. sometimes both. Am I do something wrong? I'm hoping it is just something easy that I am not doing right. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

But like I said, even with those issues, I've had a blast with this mod.

Do the units disappear? That might be the caching system. Try checkout one of my video's about that. But for tests, move closer to the original position of the unit.

Do the units change faction/side? That would be very odd never heard of that.

Please let us know.

is it possible , in mission generator to add an option for clear garbage/markers/zones ?

right now , when you finish the mission , all objects/dead bodies/markers stays on map.

sorry for my english

thanks

Arma has its own garbage cleaners. Try use those in your missions/mission template.

somehow on my dedicated using evac fast rope simply thows everyone out of the helicopter without spawning the ropes.

In local MP everything works fine, but using it on the dedicated I get this in the .rpt (seems like _rope and _x don't get their values as they should):

I got the mod version installed and loaded on the server and client. (I hope that's not the source of the problem ;))

can someone point me in the right direction? user error, or bug?

Just wanted to say thank you for all the support for making it to MANW finals...

And that we are working on new release that will be in majority bug fixing and more traditional MCC related features.

It's the least we can do for your wonderful mod... I hope you'll win the competition!

We'll wait for your new version! Good work!

Is it me or EVAC works randomly? From the wikia:

Free Landing (engine on): The helicopter will find the best place to land next to the evac WP and keep his engine on after he landed. The evac helicopter will return to base after all his cargo units disembark.

But it happens in less than half the time:/ I don't know why, is it any strictly procedure to successfully perform quick extraction?

Also, what should I do to activate changing throwing grenades modes? Right button doesn't seem to be working as excepted. It only does zoom for split second but mode stays the same.

I don't know about the grenades, but you can just spawn a chopper and give it a good old "Unload Cargo" waypoint. That way it'll wait until all units are out, and go to it's next waypoint.

Do the units disappear? That might be the caching system. Try checkout one of my video's about that. But for tests, move closer to the original position of the unit.

Do the units change faction/side? That would be very odd never heard of that.

Please let us know

Yeah, it seems to happen randomly. Sometimes the units are right next to me and they will vanish. Sometimes it works perfectly and other times they dissapear. Does it matter if I use different factions in blufor? Also, do I need to select one faction per zone? Can I have opfor attached to a zone, and have blufor attached to the same zone? For example, having op for defending a zone, controlled by Gaia, and have blufor attacking that zone, also controlled by Gaia and attached to the same zone? Or do I need to create an overlapping zone and attach blufor to that zone? I think units dissapearing has somethign to do with this. Maybe that's it. I'm not sure.

Well, MCC does not make units disappear other then when using the caching system. Please take a look here:

Also, take a look at my other video's. you answers are all there :)

Just wanted to say thank you for all the support for making it to MANW finals...

And that we are working on new release that will be in majority bug fixing and more traditional MCC related features.

I second that :)

When i try to reconfigure keybindings whole A3 freeze and after half a minute quit into desktop (OS is responsible). It usually happen when i try to use as a key "del" or "backspace". Sometimes when i binding some key to "open mcc" rest of keys are cleaned. It happen during MP and making mission in editor. Beside this MCC works properly (i log to it, make missions and so on).

Do you have any idea what is going on?

Installation procedure i've done: just copied @mcc_sandbox to addons directory, nothing more.

Win7 64-bits, current version of MCC4, no other mods except @initbi_v14.

regards

Hello i have a question!

on some maps, the mcc zeus comes with modded stuff, like the RHS units and vehicles, and on some map it does not.

Hello everyone,

I understand that the survival system is still WIP as of right now but wanted to see if there is any documentation regarding the game mode?

One of the game types that my group is a big fan of is the resistance. We start with the bare bones (pistol with a few mags, maybe an old lee enfield or hunting rifle). From our hidden outpost we conduct raids and scavenge for additional weapons, ammo and supplies to continue our resistance and allow us to hit harder targets. As mission maker I use mainly use alive to conduct the initial ambient forces while using MCC for more detailed encounters.

Unfortunately right now one of my biggest problems hampering a great experience is the lack of random ammo caches and supplies that I can have my group find. Having to individually craft and customize every supply location not only is time consuming but throws off my own gameplay since I know where I have placed all the supplies already.

I just have several questions about survival to see how we can incorporate it into our mission:

I haven't been able to actually find any resources/supplies when I have enabled survival mode in MCC Mission Settings. I wanted to ask if the mission setting is just a placeholder until a future update or if I am missing something that is preventing the resources from survival to spawn.

If the resources are enabled to spawn, how do they work? Can I modify any settings?

Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

I would back to my problem with hanging A3 during keybindings of MCC.

I've notice this problem occurs more rarely when @mcc is placed in A3 directory (earlier i put it into separate addon directory, and link it with ArmaSync).

Hovewer it still occurs.

Another questions:

- is it possible to teleport other player to specific location? When i try to do it i recieve message "soldier2_teleported" and nothing happen;

- is it possible to remove zone? I try to use delete key, brush, curses, begs but nothing happen;

- how to remove saved mcc mission data from profile list?

Hi MCC devs,

Just to report an annoying issue we have randomly.

We use regularly the mission generator in our match (Coop mode)

The problem is that sometimes the generator seems to fail to create all the units (for example "player" setting set to 15 and spawned less than 20 units, both with CQB enabled) and all the units are still in the spawned position, they have the G beside the unit name but it seems that GAIA is not initialized or it hasn't any units in control.

Another problem is that, often when this problem appear, is that some blufor were spawned.

Yesterday, the problem was back and we need to restart mission and all was fine.

I've noticed that, in the first "bugged" run, I hai to press the login button twice and trying to logout I've found that the login/logout messages was opposed to what I was doing. For example, I pressed logout and it didn't the logout, so I pressed another time and it exit from the interface but the message says me that I logged in...

I hope it's clear, if you have any question please ask me.

Thank in advance.

I am not very good with script. Can you tell me which line I have to put in int.sqf .. for stop using MCC..

Thanks..

make a file and call it mcc.sqf

PHP Code:

if (!isServer && isNull player) then {isJIP=true;} else {isJIP=false;};
// Wait until player is initialized
if (!isDedicated) then
{
waitUntil {!isNull player && isPlayer player};
waituntil {Player == Player};
};

_Reserved=["yourname","othername"];
_PlayerName = name Player;
//if (!isnil "mcc_actionInedx") then { hint "true"; } else {hint"false";}; // for debug
if (!isnil "mcc_actionInedx") then {if ((_PlayerName in _Reserved)) then {hint "Welcome Mcc Admin";}
else {hint"Mcc Disabled"; sleep 1; player removeAction mcc_actionInedx; };
};

with this , only you have mcc rights.... change the names ofcourse in this line _Reserved=["yourname","othername"];

in editor put a trigger type none, activation none, 0 0 0 and on condition put Code:

alive player

,

and on act Code:

nul=[] execVM "mcc.sqf";

edit: if you want to restrict for all (including you) the mcc module,

use this code:

if (!isServer && isNull player) then {isJIP=true;} else {isJIP=false;};
// Wait until player is initialized
if (!isDedicated) then
{
waitUntil {!isNull player && isPlayer player};
waituntil {Player == Player};
};

// Reserved=["yourname","othername"];
//_PlayerName = name Player;
//if (!isnil "mcc_actionInedx") then { hint "true"; } else {hint"false";}; // for debug
if (!isnil "mcc_actionInedx") then  {hint"Mcc Disabled"; sleep 1; player removeAction mcc_actionInedx; };
};

---------- Post added at 14:06 ---------- Previous post was at 13:43 ----------

i hope that the name "mcc_actionInedx" is the same on last version of mcc.
