Get 2 good teams working well together and epic matches ensued.

I'm wildly unimpressed. This looks like BF3 with higher resolution textures and a new campaign. I'm done with battlefield, and I'm sad to say it, BF1942 was probably one of the best games I've ever experienced.

Since when did BF series had an SP element with story? The last BF I played was BF2, and the SP element was just a mock-up of the MP element. Those bots really mimic the us human players, ie the run n gun part. At least that's how I experienced it...

I like both Arma and BF... Why? Because I'm not such a deranged fanboy of one company that I can't accept there can be good games in other genres. They both provide something completely different and do very well what they set out to do.

Yeah the lush vegetation does look great in that scene -the scene where they just scriptedly move thru it...whats up with the graphics in that helo flyabout? They look seriously dated/bad. I've had some decent MP fun in BF's over the years but their SP and AI are absolutely the worst.

Supposedly they are focusing more on the SP in BF4 but it sucks that they are not going to have Co-oP anymore, I really enjoyed that but as the DLCs came fast and furious, the Co-oP never got any love so I guess I'm not surprised.

I've been a Battlefield whore since the beginning.

It has nothing to do with Arma vs. Battlefield.

It's about a bunch of Youtubers who are shilling for EA so they can get gifts and imaginary fame

Listen to the guy in the first video, He's all about kissing EA's ass to get invited to events, gifts and score interviews

where you know damn well he won't ask any tough questions.

When Bad Company 2 was still in production they invited several PC gamers from the Battlefield 2 UK forum to L.A

to play the console version of BC2 Beta to "Prove" it wasn't a dumbed down console game.

When they got back, most reviews of it were mediocre at best and several of them said it WAS a dumbed down console game.

2 weeks later they were all banned from the forums and were locked out of their Battlefield accounts.

Shit hit the fan hard and the bans were quietly removed, but that's the general attitude at EA and DICE now.

Watch interviews with "Gordon Van Dyke" on Youtube during the lead up to Bad company's release

watch the ones where he is interviewed by PC gamers, watch the attitude change bigtime when questions

about PC are asked.

Is anyone else new here from Battlefield?

I've been a huge BF guy my entire gaming career and have loved battlefield since BF2, which was really the peak, but now battlefield is going in the entirely wrong direction and I can't do it anymore.

EA decided to remove any sort of in-game VOIP from BF4, and that's where I draw the line. Where's the teamwork in that, where's the spirit of battlefield that gave birth to the whole damn series in the first place? Gone, that's where it is.

Can't take EA's bullshit anymore, so I'm here since I heard ARMA is a good alternative given some time to get adjusted to the more tactical gameplay/less crazy explosions.

Speaking of which, any things I should be aware of pertaining to ARMA that defines the series or that especially pertains to the gameplay?
