Maybe also some administrators aren't aware: If they allow 3rd person, no one can play 1stp on their server any more, because of the massive disadvantage.

That is only the case if winning is everything to the person, you can also have more fun killing people and considering that you beat someone who was using the third person hack.

So you could get more satisfaction out of it in the long run, if winning isn't everything that is.

Third person is only an advantage in outdoor urban battle, if it goes indoors first beats it hands down. First is also much better for long distance engagement for acquiring targets and getting rounds down onto them quicker, especially if the cross-hairs are disabled.

This logic is ridiculous, come on. It's ok winning isn't everything just feel good about beating someone using vision exploits.

Except for the fact that when in an indoor battle you can see around corners without exposing yourself using the 3rd person exploit? I would say that is a major tactical advantage and imho totally unrealistic.

Filling servers is difficult on its own accord. Nothing to do with difficulty settings. Your server has to be top to get to the top, so even if you bring something new and awesome it is likely to never be seen unless you somehow managed to get some kind of a decent player base to kickstart it.

As for settings, most servers run 3rd person and crosshairs on for one reason and one reason only - It is available on regular which is the default difficulty settings which is admins simply don't bother changing for whatever reasons, most likely because they don't know how to. Once people are used to it, changing will result in too much rage as the people who actually want it changed are probably not going anywhere near your server anymore anyway.
