Hello everyone, this is just a simple addon that makes your NVGs full screen.

Full Screen Night Vision

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B1gWUNu0kwK1TTZPUGhMU3lhZTQ/edit?usp=sharing

did update the mod to working with the latest dev build

full_nvg 1.1: Full Screen Night Vision

Author:maquez [Q-Net]

Requried:

Arma3 v.77

Signed w/Server key

MP compatible/Dedicated Server compatible

Launch with the -mod=@full_nvg in your commandline parameters

Issues:Non Know at this time

Description:

Enables Full Screen Night Vision

This addon is client side only. Server does not need the addon installed just the server key.Place in the key folder in your ArmA3 main directory file.

I only needed to edit a few lines of code to get it to work in ArmA3.

There are other addons that do the same thing but were lacking the proper

Server keys or are unsigned so I decided to make my own addon with the proper

Server key and bi.sign so it can be used on Dedicated servers using Verifysignatures = 2

Updated to dev build classname changes of Night Vision Googles

Thanks and Credits:

All credit for this mod goes to HeinBloed for his gdt_nvgoggles addon for ArmA 2 http://www.gdt-server.net.

no, it's realistic this way. maybe a little vignette effect is needed, but the restricted view is unrealistic.

Nightvision goggles can restrict your field of view. That's the reason for the black border in the first place.

the restriction is too much and it shouldn't be a border, it should be a vignette effect.

This looks better than having the border imo.

I know some people prefer to keep the realism of mil. experience, but to me this is a nice little change.

Thanks for this =]

Davids,

thanks for the small but much needed addon. It might not be "ermagerd" realistic, but if you play 3rd Person you shouldn't consider calling out realism.

Look it is simple. If you don't like the full screen effect DON'T USE IT!

Thanks for this addon. I love it.

A lot of fighting going on in here haha! I'll look into making another one which has a haze around it if people dislike it full screen.

I like this!

But the question is, would this be considered an advantage over the vanilla one?

Of course it is, you get unobstructed Night vision with this, so you have a greater ability to have better situational awareness.

There's no fightning at all in here. Just sharing opinions and facts :)

You can't fight in here anyway.. this is the WAR ROOM!!

This is great! Now, can you make a full screen binocular mod too? And add server keys too?

Makes sense. I'm pretty sure IRL that NVG's don't limit one to 40 degrees of FOV like they do in game.
