FA_stance

It is there, the arrows above/below show the stance, as far as I can tell. Normal crouch has no arrows, just crouch icon, low crouch has an arrow below, etc.

Yeah so it seems, on a closer look. Got to test it soon :)

Work on 1.1 is going forward so you can expect a new release in a few days.

Just a small bug in the latest dev build:

If u go prone, the image disappears, although not set to fade in the user config.

Settings:

#define FA_STANCE_POS 2

#define FA_FADE 3

#define FA_STANCE_DEBUG 0

Mods used:

Just a small bug in the latest dev build:

This seems to happen when going from side courch or side standing to prone. ( since there are no side prone only up and down)

Maybe the developer of FA_Stance can help me. I submitted the following bug report to BIS, but they won't consider fixing it unless a bug report is submitted by a mod author. Would you consider submitting a bug report on my behalf?

Summary: Sometimes addons/mods don't work when I start a

game.

Description:

I use two addons a lot. FAStance http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=19017

and

ShackTac Fireteam HUD http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=18949

Sometimes they don't work when I load a mission in multiplayer LAN, where I play

singleplayer missions. After I am killed in the mission and respawn they will

usually start working.

BTW, I think FA Stance should be a feature of the game that BIS supplies. It is

very difficult to keep track of what stance you are in without it. In real life

this is never the case.

Steps to Reproduce:

Install these two addons and play a multiplayer LAN mission.

This sounds like an issue with the addons themselves, I suggest you contact

their authors.

To elaborate, dialogs and resources are not written into a game save. Neither

are variables that contain references to UI elements and scripts that contain

the <i>disableSerialization</i> keyword. Addons that introduce UI elements have

to cater for this behavior.

Thanks for your reply, you would know better than me. I will contact the authors

of the addons about this. However, one thing I should have mentioned in my

report is that when the addons don't work, all of them don't work. It's not that

some work and some don't, all the addons stop working at the same time. When I

respawn and they work again, all of them are working again.

This makes me wonder if it has something to do with BIS code, but I'm not a

programmer so I don't really know. Like I said, I will contact the authors of

the addons I use. Thanks again.

Broken mod must be fixed by author. If there is something wrong on our side,

author of mod can report bug with detailed info and we will look at it. Thanks.

I've been having a problem allowing this on our server. The key provided does not seem to work, and people get kicked anyway for wrong signatures.

Please disregard my previous post. I've since found out that it is a known limitation with the CBA mod. I'll ask the developers of that mod if there is anything that can be done.

Nice version.

But there is a bug/issue with this addon, which i had since v1.1

When you change into a "higher,lower" or "left,right" stance of standing, crouching or prone, the addon has a small delay (1 second) before it refreshes the

arrow markers. Problem is, when you start moving within this delay, it won't update the arrows and will stay in the "old" stance indicator mode until you stop moving and stand still for a short moment.

Next to this issue, your addon is nearly perfect!

This is how the addon saves some resources by only changing when the stance chances. The "lag" is due to the transition animation.

I'l look into it for the next version.

I am having problems with this addons signature. We are testing signature checks on our servers and i get kicked after ~10 seconds on the server when running fa_stance 1.2.

This is the message in the server log:

14:22:31 Player Predator.v2: Wrong signature for file C:\Games\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Arma 3\@gbb_pack\addons\fa_stance.pbo

If i use "ban" on this server config line, it will ban me for using Fa_stance (1.2), so it seems something "tampered" with the signature..

"onHackedData = "ban (_this select 0)"; // tampering of the signature detected"
