Zulu Expeditionary Company

Brief Opening

The Zulu Expeditionary Company was founded in hope to create a new ArmA realism experience. It seems with a new NATO/US unit starting every week that there is no diversity in terms of creativity. The potential of ArmA is bounds and leaps ahead of many games on the market today. The Z.E.C. is a South African mercenary group, from our knowledge this is something that has not been pursued at all. We feel its a unique setting and can create an excellent realism experience when only be restricted to cheap firearms, it increases the challenge when the odds are stacked against you and also provides for a more enjoyable experience. No longer can you have an A-10 clear a town for you, we have to get our boots on the ground and do the heavy lifting ourselves.

Overview of the Z.E.C. and its Current Conflict

The Zulu Expeditionary Company currently engaged in a conflict involving the Afrenian and Molation fighting for territory with two mercenary groups caught in the middle. We the Z.E.C. are currently contracted by the Molation government to give military support, Орёл Contracting the other mercenary group is neutral however both sides are not fond of the group. The Afrenian was given military aid from the United Kingdom, the British Armed Forces are arguably doing much of the heavy lifting for the Afrenian military.

Both the Z.E.C. and Орёл Contracting are heavily involved in diamond and weapon smuggling. Most conflicts involving the Z.E.C. and Орёл Contracting are the result of the two groups gaining intel of a diamond stockpile or convoy and those meeting together on the battlefield, usually resulting in 3 way firefights. The civilian population has enlisted much with the Z.E.C. as its currently the only armed force in the area in which offers pay for service, both the Afrenian and Molation are conscription, the civilian populace is exempt from said conscription if they enlist with a private military.

Finance System

As the Zulu Expeditionary Company is a mercenary group whom has no financial backing from foreign powers, money is a vital part of the unit. Every soldier has a monthly pay in which can be used to purchase new approved weapons and optics. Said money can also be transferred to the unit itself so the unit can purchase new vehicles, and equipment. We essentially start from nothing and have to work for our equipment, our equipment doesn't just appear out of nowhere from the generosity of tax payers, our equipment is bought with work and dedication. Likewise just because we bought a brand new helicopter and it gets shot down, goodbye. It is not coming back anytime soon unless we have the funds to purchase a new one. It is also a good thing to mention this element is handled by the units administration staff, don't worry about having to do finances we do it because we like the realism and fun it adds for us. The most you will ever have to worry about is how much money you have and what new weapons you can purchase with it!

Rules of Enlistment

The Zulu Expeditionary Company was founded on the basis of realism. Our goal is to depict a fictitious feud between two rivaling armies and two rivaling mercenary companies going to war in an African setting. Due to this we do have a few minor rules in which you must follow to enlist and have a fun time with the company.

-Speak fluent English

-Have a working microphone or plan on getting one.

-Have an up to date version of Teamspeak 3

-Have a legal copy of ArmA II: Combined Operations.

-Have your ArmA II in-game character be of African descent.

-Have a desire to join a truly unique unit and have fun while in it.

English is a must for teamwork, and having fun and talking with other members, this is a no exception rule. We know not everyone is outgoing, and that's fine. In the field the only person who will be talking most of the time is your squad leader and fireteam leader, thus being a bit shy won't kill you. Obviously you need a microphone to speak, thus you need one or you must be planning on purchasing one soon. Teamspeak 3 is used for communication, you need it is that simple. We expect everyone to have a legally purchased copy ArmA II: Combined Operations, if you do not have it legally purchased it will be impossible for you to even get on our server. As I stated above we are a realism unit, thus I and the Z.E.C. require all members in game characters to be of African descent. Finally the reason this unit was started was to break away from pretty much every unit that been created on ArmA, If you are like me you can not count on two hands to see how many US Army, USMC, etc units you've been in. Enlisting with Z.E.C. you're showing initiative to join a unique group of people, in a unique unit.

Enlisting with us

If you wish to join us you can ether find someone on our Teamspeak 3(info below) or our website(again info below,) I would prefer having a member in the Teamspeak walk you through the enlistment process if you are new to ArmA realism, however if you are a veteran member of the community and know what you're doing feel free to post an enlistment we'll get back to you as soon as possible!
